J.J. Abrams to Direct Star Trek 11

Variety is reporting that there is a new STAR TREK movie in the pipe for 2008, with LOST creator J.J. Abrams at the helm.

The movie, which will be the 11th in the series, will reportedly detail the first meeting of Kirk and Spock at Starfleet Academy, and their first space mission.
