The original (er… Chinese) movie is brilliant. I fear this one, though. I just don’t think Jessica Alba has the chops to bring to the main character. She’s not as horrible as everyone else thinks, but neither is she exactly Oscar-worthy.

The Eye, one of my all-time favourite films, let alone japenese films, is now being remade. And if the american producers even THINK about changing the ending, I will hunt them down and strangle them.
If you have not seen it, I suggest that you do, before seeing the american version, so as with the american versions of all these japenese films (The Ring, Dark Water), you can laugh at it and wonder why you wasted your time on watching such a crap version of such a brilliant plot.
See, I can forgive The Grudge, since it featured a majority of the cast and crew from the japenese film, and the same locations, since it was filmed at the same time, and stuck very well to the original plot.
The Ring, however, was very, very crap (although in all honesty I did enjoy the second installment, putting aside my love of the original film and watching it as-is). Dark Water I refuse to go near.
