This is probably the BEST article you’ve written and certainly the best article I’ve read for several months.

I’m glad to see someone questioning the appeal of the anorexic, emaciated super model — and someone not ashamed or embarrassed to discuss the allure of full-figured women as art and expression.

It seems that anyone appreciating an anatomically correct female form is automatically denigrated for pandering.

I have always admired the way Coop manages to portray a variety of taboo subjects simultaneously. In some of my favorite Coop art, he combines voluptuous women, the devil and and powerful out-of-control vehicles all at the same time. In fact, ALL of my favorite Coop art is just loaded with unabashed blasphemy. I don’t know if you fully understand how BRAVE it is to present that kind of art in ultra-conservative religious right-wing America. I’m surprised the same religious nuts that picket Kevin Smith movies like “Dogma” and aren’t picketing his gallery showings.

Anyway… you did a great job with this interview and I look forward to more interviews like this.
