Universal Pictures and Dark Horse present Hellboy: The Golden Army, the new 16-page comic book that details the rise of The Golden Army in the upcoming action-thriller Hellboy II: The Golden Army.

The prequel comic — written by Mike Mignola from a story by Hellboy II director Guillermo del Toro — has three different collectible covers with Hellboy, Abe, or Liz. (The covers feature the previously released images – see First ‘Hellboy II’ Production Still).

As a preview to the WonderCon edition of The Golden Army comic book debuting this weekend, a 5-page preview of the comic has just debuted online at the Hellboy II Production Site and at IGN. The full comic will make its convention debut at WonderCon – San Francisco February 22-24th and will feature a special edition cover of Liz.

The three collectable covers will make their appearance at various conventions and events leading up to the film’s release on July 11, 2008.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army stars Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Doug Jones, and Luke Goss.
