Finally.

Finally, we have a title to the latest and greatest offering in The Fast and the Furious franchise! I never thought this day would come; I am as giddy as Heather Mills at a divorce hearing.

Cinematical reports that the fourth installment will be called… Fast and Furious. Yes, that’s right — the exact same title as the first movie, sans a “the” here and a “the” there.

The movie also has pretty much everyone from the first movie as well; I’m beginning to think that this isn’t a sequel, but maybe a shot-for-shot remake.

Apparently, the plot involves a crime that brings Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian (Paul Walker) back to L.A. They have to put their differences aside, though, so they can deal with a mutual enemy. I assume that there will probably be some racing in there somewhere as well. Maybe with a pimped-out car or two.

Michelle Rodriguez (S.W.A.T.) and Jordana Brewster (Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) are also returning and it’s being directed by Justin Lin, who did the third film Tokyo Drift. It’s aiming at a June 5th, 2009 release date.

Small note: Justin Lin plans to wrap the series up… after a 5TH installment!
