‘Kung Fu Panda’ Clips + Animated Comic Book
Empress Eve   |

Kung Fu PandaDon’t ask me why I’ve waited this long, but I finally decided to look into Kung Fu Panda to see if it’s something worth checking out this weekend. The DreamWorks animated film opened in conventional and IMAX theaters yesterday, so I browsed the content on the film’s official site and, man, I’m lovin’ what I’m seeing so far.

Just check out the Clips page and click on Clip #5 to watch this awesome action sequence where Tigress (Angelina Jolie) fights the evil snow leopard Tai Lung (Ian McShane) on a rope bridge. (I’m a sucker for rope-bridge action thanks to Temple of Doom). Also, Clip #1 shows the title panda Po’s (Jack Black) humorous first meeting with Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman).

I highly suggest you browse around the site for more some great content like character info, behind-the-scenes video, more clips, online games, and an interactive guide to Panda‘s world.

As a companion to the film Yahoo! Movies has premiered the Kung Fu Panda animated comic book, which you can watch here below.

Synopsis

Enthusiastic, big and a little clumsy, Po (Jack Black) is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around… which doesn’t exactly come in handy while working every day in his family’s noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po’s dreams become reality when he joins the world of kung fu and studies alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five — Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Crane (David Cross), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu) and Monkey (Jackie Chan) — under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu (Dustin Hoffman). But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung (Ian McShane) is headed their way, and it’s up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. Can he turn his dreams of becoming a kung fu master into reality? Po puts his heart into the task, and the unlikely hero ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.
