Not one major critical body has ever awarded its top prize to an animated film. In recent years, Pixar has made it painfully obvious that these people just aren't paying attention. The brain trust as Pixar (John Lasseter,Brad Bird, etc, etc) is the greatest collection of creative minds the film industry has right now. Animation is film damn it! And it's damned good too! Someone needs to wake up the critical masses and smack them in the head a few times.
