As most of you Twilight fans know, Summit Entertainment had a Twilight panel at this year’s San Diego Comic Con this weekend (see SDCC 08: Summit Entertainment’s ‘Twilight’). On the Con floor, there also a Twilight booth, which had freebies, contests, and a chance to get your picture taken with cardboard cut-outs of the stars from the upcoming film.
It’s safe to say the Twilight booth was one of the more frequented ones at the Con. I mean, the whole place was a madhouse, but that booth did real well this weekend. I fought my way over to it to see what kind of swag I could get my hands on. I missed out on the t-shirts, but I did snag a small poster and trading card sample set for myself and also for my niece … and extra ones for you guys who didn’t get a chance to go to the Con.
I have five extra sets of the Twilight trading card samples. If you want a pack, then just leave a comment here telling me why you think the Twilight movie will be awesome. I’ll pick 5 winners from those who leave a comment on this entry and one person will also get one of the posters.
The poster is the previously released teaser poster of Bella and Edward (see it here).
There are four cards that come in the pack; you can see images of them here above (actual card looks much better, I’m still on the road without a scanner so I had to take a picture of the cards just so you could see what they look like). Each pack contains the same four cards. The back of the cards have character bios and quotes. These cards are just a sample from the premium trading card collection from Inkworks, which goes on sale November 2008. The full collection will include scenes from the movie, character cards, and more. In addition to the base set, the collection will contain randomly inserted bonus cards.
And I want all of you Twilight fans out there to know that I braved some crowd to grab these items and did so twice. But, it was worth it, especially since the second time I went I was given a ticket to get a shirt at the Paramount booth (don’t ask me why, but this practice is fairly common at the Con), so I walked away also with an Indiana Jones t-shirt (yes!).
Ok, now start commenting for you chance to win! I’ll pick the winners in a few days when I’m done traveling and back in the real world. I’ll update the post to let you all know. Good luck!
