After the long, long decade of rumors, combined with many refusals to believe it was true, as well as my consistent coverage of this project all year, the massively desired sequel Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day has officially begun filming in Toronto.
Take that naysayers!
As a big fan of the original flick, I’m happy to see actual filming taking place and it’s very good to see Sean Patrick Flanery eating some food and being silly. At the same time, though, I’m still pretty antsy to see some images and footage of familiar faces back in action.
As I’ve previously reported, Sean Patrick Flanerywww.seanflanery.com and Norman Reedus (www.normanreedusonline.com) are returning for this film as the McManus brothers. Billy Connolly, David Della Rocco, and Brian Mahoney will also reprise their roles, while Aaron Berg has joined the cast as JoJo Rhama as has Clifton Collins Jr. as a new character.
Below are a couple new production diaries to check out.
On a side note, director Troy Duffy and crew are also doing a little contest where you can win some sweet gold and a trip to the land of Tim Hortons for a small role in the flick. Check out this link for info and watch the video below to get in and see the goods. A very, very cool contest.
Does the cat Rocco shot come back too? I loved Rocco the most out of all of them, but the least they could do is say how the hell this is supposed to happen.

I am really excited to see this movie!! I fell for the first immediately . I thing its one of the great indie films Ive seen. I actually get tired of mainstream movies. This was a refreshing concept as well…like “death wish …look out …the saints have come to town and and are really getting the job done. ” they have god on their side. I like vigilante movies and the religious aspect of it really piqued my interest. Finding out how these movies came about in Troys head made me appreciate more than just the comedic aspect of them but also the inner message. The comedy , religion, and justice deleved out I find a wonderfully curious mix. The cast are awesome. I will be horribly unhappy not to see William Defoe not in No.2 I love his character he really set the stage along with the brothers. I have watched sean patrick flannery since he was on the soaps years ago. He was fine then and hes still fine. Yes he looks at little different but we all get older. LOL I think it was said that the Rocco thing was to be more like a dream sequence rather than a flashback positive. rocco rocks for sure!!! Ohh to be that crazy!! Death to all cats!!!haha well I need to can it Ive said to much enjoy the movie when you see it

Im officially a boondock saints recruiter. I saw it for the first time in 2008 and have let all my friends borrow the dvd to watch it themselves. We are all anxiously awaiting All Saints Days arrival at the the theatres. The trailer looks interesting but the movie itself is what I’m counting down to now.
josh
have some faith. troy duffy was in charge of this and he def wouldn’t want to ruin the legacy of his first film. he is simply giving back to all those fans who have anxiously been awaiting this moment for TEN YEARS now! fuck off and enjoy the storyline. who cares if it ruins a cult classic. its giving the fans what they want, and i personally believe that he will give the fans what they deserve. as for the nay sayers……you have no taste, and you are probably ass holes.
josh
ps the other josh that said being a bds fan is pathetic probably has no friends, and is most likely reading this, drinking a diet coke, chomping an extra cheese pizza, and wondering why that semi, to unattractive girl just told him she has a headache tonight. AND…..now he is probably wandering how i know exactly what is going on in his life. don’t hold the fact that he has no taste against him…out country has enough suicides…he has enough to figure out. enjoy the movie
Grace
NO WAY!! Dude that’s totally awesome! I can’t wait!!! :)
