EW will release their special “Guide to Watchmen” issue on February 23, 2009. With that release, there will be six different collectible covers of all of your favorite Watchmen. Included is are Nite Owl, Ozymandias, Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach, The Comedian, and Silk Spectre.
The issue looks to cover all things Watchmen to prepare those who might not be yet be for the epic and long-awaited release of the movie. The best way to get ready is to get your ass out there and read the book first (trust me, being someone who saw the trailer before and after reading the book, it’s so much more exciting having read it) — but if that’s not possible, EW will have to do for you.
Included in the guide is a bunch of great stories and quotes from various parties involved with the movie and the complications that they’re encountered, as well as quotes from celebrity fans who are just as excited as we are.

A few great quotes that sum it all up quite perfectly come from director Zack Snyder, Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof, and Kevin Smith.
Kevin Smith ideally sums up what this movie means and what all of the fans of the book are feeling right now:
You have to understand, I’ve been waiting for this moment for years. This is it, man. This is the pinnacle. You have no idea how f—ing pumped I am.
Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof explains being a young fan reading the book in the 80s:
I would devour each issue over and over again, knowing that I was missing things because I was too young to grasp them. But at the same time, I was so excited by the violence and, yeah, the sex. I felt like Watchmen was this very, very bad thing that I shouldn’t be reading, and if my mom caught me with it I’d be f—ing doomed.
Lastly, director Zack Snyder explains the project as a whole and what it means for fans and for the future:
I don’t think there ever has been a movie more custom-made for them. Not at this scale. And now they have an opportunity to really influence pop culture in a serious way, just as the comic influenced comics. They can say: “˜These stories can be used to say something about the world. Give us more of them.’
