wait....you went into a summer blockbuster action flick expecting astounding acting and many plot twists you could never see coming?? silly. also, prime example...In almost every bond movie ever, there is at least some cheesiness to the acting and you can see at least half the plot turns within 20 minutes, but people still love those movies. not everything needs a twist.

Well, I really enjoyed the movie and I saw every episode and went to watch the movie with my dad when I was a kid! That's why I love the movie. The fact that this can lead up to Serpentor and Cobra La. What really happened to Cobra Commander in that laboratory there is still room to play with. I did not like the ending of the movie though ( the way Cobra Commander revealed himself) it was really sad, I thought some bad ass face mask or helmet but that plastic sheet didn't cut it for me. Any way when the Baroness rejoins Cobra, and Zartan bargains the President of the United States for the release of Destroy and Cobra Commander it's going to get interesting, especially when the Crimson Twins, Major Blood, and other baddies arrive, plus the arsenal of Cobra troop types it's gonna get messy stay tuned!

Just saw the movie tonight and I totally loved it. I don't know much about the GI JOE backstory, since I see too many episodes of the cartoon, so I don't have these expectations of what the story should be. I just found it very enjoyable and badass! Storm Shadow vs. Snake Eyes an awesome fight and the glimpse of Baroness vs Scarlet was great too. Seriously, I went into this movie expecting to roll my eyes through the whole thing, but I didn't. I mean, yeah, there's plenty of 'unbelievable' stuff happening, but it's all fun. I'm definitely looking forward to a sequel.

I enjoyed it, fun over the top, sure I knew that going in. If this had been dead serious it would have been painful. For all of you belly achers, if you don't like the movies these days make your freaking own! Thats we we did when I was younger. You would be surprised what you can come up with.

I didn't like it, just about every part of it was contrived and hard to believe, do they expect me to go along with the fact that the Joe's hide out has a miniature sea in it, under the sahara desert, and yet it remains hidden from the public eye? but the nanomites were pretty nasty buggers, wouldn't want my city eaten by them

You are harsh unnecessarily. No need to look for a Tom Hanks performance out of any of the characters or for a stunning plot sequences... "the explosions are all there and so are the kick ass action sequences..." That says it all - plot, character development and performance are secondary. B- (at worse)
