Deal: Buy ‘Michael Jackson: This Is It’ Blu-ray, Get $5 Off Select Blu-ray Titles

Empress Eve   |

michael jackson this is it blu-rayAmazon is currently running a deal where you can get $5 off your order when you purchase Michael Jackson: This Is It on Blu-ray along with another Blu-ray title from a select list.

Visit the Deal page for a list of qualifying Blu-ray titles.

On the Deal page, there’s subcategories listed along the top with names of Jackson’s songs that represent a different movie genre. For instance, movies like Ghostbusters, Hellboy, Dracula are listed in “Thriller”; Resident Evil is in “Bad” (as in ‘badass’, I presume); Casino Royale in “Smooth Criminal”; Across The Universe in “Rock With You”; Groundhog Day in “Off The Wall”; and Ghandi in “Black or White.” There’s more choices in each subcategory, so be sure to click through these.

Remember to purchase the This Is It Blu-ray at the same time as one of the other qualifying titles, and the $5 discount will be displayed at checkout. Offer ends on February 8, 2010.

Michael Jackson: This Is It is documentary that goes behind the scenes with Michael Jackson, capturing the artist from April 2009 through June 2009 just before his death as he developed, created, and rehearsed for his 50 planned “This Is It” sold-out concerts that were scheduled for Summer 2009 in London’s O2 Arena. The film was directed by Jackson’s creative partner for the concerts, Kenny Ortega, who put together the film from over one hundred hours of behind-the-scenes footage of Jackson rehearsing for the concerts, which would have included elaborate stage sets and concepts, like a graveyard-set “Thriller” number. This is the last look at the performer in action (the resulting concerts of which would have marked his return to concert touring after a 10-year hiatus).
