REMINDER: Unseen ‘Caprica’ Episodes Start Tonight!

Caprica

Because the pilot for Battlestar Galactica prequel series Caprica was released as a movie in what seems like a long, long time ago (Read: DVD Review: ‘Caprica’), it didn’t even feel like the show began last week. In case you missed it, the show did indeed start last week, and if you haven’t yet done so, you should find the pilot episode and watch it immediately.

Now that the pilot for this new adventure from BSG masterminds Ronald D. Moore and David Eick is done and over, that can only mean one thing: a wealth of brand new treasures in the creationism of Cylons as we know them! That’s right, tonight begins the first of the all-new episodes that we’ll see during the show’s maiden season voyage. It will take over from the epic ending point of the movie, and continue us on as Daniel Graystone digs deeper into his dark and revolutionary discovery and his daughter Zoe gets used to her new existence.

Click over to read the series’ synopsis and to check out a cool trailer for the post-pilot episodes of Caprica that we’re about to see, complete with appearances by Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s James Marsters and universally-popular funnyman, Patton Oswalt.

Teaser Trailer For ‘Wall Street 2’ Released With New Poster

The Movie God   |  @   |

Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps

The first teaser trailer for Oliver Stone‘s much-anticipated sequel Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is now online courtesy of IMDB.

The sequel comes 23 years after the 1987 original, Wall Street, which starred Michael Douglas as a financial master with questionable techniques who mentors and grooms a young new hot shot (Charlie Sheen) in the world of stocks. Douglas returns in the sequel after going to prison for a long time and ready to groom yet another young gun stockbroker (Shia LaBeouf) who just so happens to be engaged to his daughter (Carey Mulligan).

The teaser trailer is very well done and will get you excited for seeing a long trailer and the movie itself. You can immediately get a sense for the humor that Stone is going to bring to the table, and the natural humor that will come from someone like Douglas’s Gordon Gekko being re-released back into a wild that is absolutely NOTHING like the wild that he was once king of.

Click on over to the other side to check out the very cool trailer for Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. You can also see a new poster for the movie and read a short synopsis!

Guy Ritchie Steps Away From ‘Lobo’ To Do ‘Sherlock Holmes 2’; Brad Pitt Not Looking Likely

Lobo

Super producer Joel Silver spoke to The LA Times recently, and on the menu of topics discussed were the proposed comic book adaptation of Lobo, as well as Sherlock Holmes 2 — both of which were set to be directed by Guy Ritchie.

Because Holmes has done so well ($389 million to date), a sequel is being thrown onto that popular fast track to try and get it done and ready while all of the stars are willing to return. If you’ll recall: Sherlock himself, Robert Downey Jr., recently walked away from the comic book adaptation of Cowboys & Aliens, which was to reunite him with his Iron Man director, Jon Favreau (Read: Daniel Craig In Negotiations To Replace Robert Downey Jr. In “˜Cowboys & Aliens’).

The Movie God   |  @   |

2010-01-28-joe_dirt

Yes, you read that correctly — TBS and David Spade have officially reached an agreement to develop and produce a brand new animated TV series based on his 2001 movie, The Adventures of Joe Dirt.

As a basic description of what to expect, the final product looks to be about a “mullet-sporting, muscle-car-loving loser with a heart of gold,” with Spade of course set to return to voice the simpleton Dirt. Also involved in the agreement and bringing this show to life will be Sony Pictures and Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison Productions.

Marvel Chief Kevin Feige Confirms Hulk Will Indeed Smash In ‘The Avengers’

The Movie God   |  @   |

The Incredible Hulk

A while back, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was talking about who we would be seeing when The Avengers movie was released in 2012. As expected, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Nick Fury were all included, but one big name that was still up in the air was that incredible big, green Hulk (Read: Marvel Talks Future Projects; Who Will You See In “˜The Avengers’ Movie?).

In a recent interview with SFX Magazine, Feige once again spoke on the project, only this time the Hulk was part of the conversation like he had been there all along. He even confirmed that there was a possibility of Edward Norton returning for a sequel to Lous Leterrier’s The Incredible Hulk, but that would be after The Avengers. There is no word on if we’ll see Norton in the actual Avengers film.
