Maybe you meant that it starts around the ending of the prologue in the TV episode "Serenity"--six years before the events of the TV series and film proper, and more than enough time for Wash to have various adventures with a new crew. Or maybe you meant it's an alternate history, in which Wash survives the film "Serenity" and leaves his wife and friends to man his own ship. (This will go over about as well as his death did, I fear.) Or maybe Wash & co. are exploring the galactic afterlife. Like Riverworld in space! What's the deal? I’m at a loss here, O Movie God.
