Yesterday, fans of Twilight got a tiny little 10-second sneak peek of the trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the upcoming third film in the popular vampire franchise.

Now, the full-length trailer for Eclipse has been released; watch it right here below.
This minute and a half trailer goes beyond the love triangle, which includes Jacob making a strong point as to why Bella should be with him. Watch Now: Joan Jett On ‘The Tonight Show’
We’re starting to see a lot of promo now for The Runaways, which will get a wide release next month, in the form of clips, images, and TV interviews. The movie is based on the all-girl rock band of the same name, which rose to stardom in the 1970s and launched the career of rock goddess Joan Jett.
On Tuesday night, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts performed The Runaways popular tune “Cherry Bomb” on The Tonight Show and afterward Jett sat down to talk with host Jay Leno about the film and her beginnings as a teenage rock star.
Watch the video of the performance and interview here below.
This isn’t Jett’s first outing for the film. In January at the Sundance Film Festival, where the film make its debut, Jett come out for a performance and stars Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart (the latter stars in the movie as a teenage Joan Jett) join the band on stage.
You’ll probably be hearing a lot of “Cherry Bomb” in the next few weeks, as the song from the film is already streaming online, along with a music video from The Runaways [...]

New Trailer For Ridley Scott & Russell Crowe’s ‘Robin Hood’
A brand new trailer for Ridley Scott‘s new vision of the tale of Robin Hood has been released online by Yahoo! Movies.
The movie will be released on May 14, 2010, and has a brilliant cast that features Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Mark Strong, Mark Addy, Oscar Isaac, Danny Huston, Eileen Atkins, and Max von Sydow.
The only thing about this new trailer that has me a little sad, is the newly anointed PG-13 rating. This isn’t at all one of those movies I expected to be rated R, but I did have a glimmer of hope that this new Robin Hood adventure would be a graphic, Gladiator-esque action-drama. None-the-less, this is a great trailer and the movie continues to look like a great new title for those of us who are into period battle films. I’ll tell you one thing, I can’t wait for Scott’s sure-to-be-better Director’s Cut!
Official Synopsis
Oscar® winner Russell Crowe stars as the legendary figure known by generations as “Robin Hood,” whose exploits have endured in popular mythology and ignited the imagination of those who share his spirit of adventure and righteousness. [...]

Will Our Cell Phones Have The Power Of A PlayStation 3 In Just A Few Years Time?
Gizmodo has a very interesting new article about the future of cell phones and the ever-growing technologies associated with them.
In speaking to Imagination Technologies, who created the PowerVR chip that makes your iPhones and Droids as pretty and as popular as they are, it was revealed that in about three years, we could have the capabilities to run PlayStation 3 level graphics on our phones. As with anything involving such a constantly-growing industry, companies are always working with new products, technologies, and prototypes that take time to evolve, which explains the estimated wait.
Imagination claims that we’ll see PS3 graphics in a few years because that’s what they’ve designed and are working on at this very moment. All that needs to be done now is to perfect the technology and what it is capable of doing, and then get phone companies to get it in their products.
Because I’m not very knowledgeable in the realms of tech stuffs, here is exactly how Gizmodo describes the possibilities. If I attempted to explain this in my own words, you’d likely start crying. [...]

Eric Cartman’s Cover Of Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’ To Be Released On ‘Rock Band’
If someone were to ask you right this very moment that if you could choose any one song in the whole, wide world to have added to your dearest Rock Band, what would you choose? For those of you who said “I would want Lady Gaga‘s “Poker Face” as performed by Eric Cartman on Comedy Central‘s South Park,” then boy, oh boy do I have a little treat for you!
Rock Band has officially announced that along with some actual Lady Gaga songs, they will also be adding Cartman’s beautiful rendition on the tune. The character, who of course is part of Matt Stone and Trey Parker‘s vulgar animated South Park world, sang the song on Rock Band with Kenny and Kyle in the episode “Whale Whores.”

‘Caprica’ Actor Patton Oswalt To Write ‘Firefly’ Comic About Wash
MTV Splash Page has learned that comedian and all-around geek Patton Oswalt has written a brand new comic book based in the world of Joss Whedon‘s wild science fiction western, Firefly.
This will not be the first time a comic book will be set there; back in 2005, Whedon made a 3-part comic series titled Serenity: Those Left Behind. Then, in 2008, he made yet another 3-part comic, this time called Serenity: Better Days.
Click over for much more, but be warned: the details of the story do include spoilers from Firefly/Serenity, so if you’ve not seen them, go and buy 26 copies of each right this moment and watch them immediately.
This new comic by Oswalt will be a one-time deal that picks up after the 2005 feature film Serenity, and it will be called Serenity: Float Out. The story will revolve around Wash (played by Alan Tudyk on the show) and a group of his friends whom we’ve never met before as they buy a new ship and prepare to christen it. [...]

Comic Review: Kill Audio #6
Kill Audio #6
(Issue 6 of 6)
Created by Claudio Sanchez
Written By Claudio Sanchez & Chondra Echert
Art, Letters, & Cover A: Sheldon Vella
Cover B: Chuck BB
BOOM! Studios
Price: $3.99; Release date: March 10, 2010
Kill Audio, an invincible man lost in his world of Sight and Sound finally finds purpose and destiny as protector of all music. But what does this destiny mean? What must he do to keep all genres and sub genres in line? All of the things come to light in Kill Audio #6.
What more can be said about the fantastic world that Sheldon Vella brings to life with his art? I have read nothing but praise for his outlandish groundbreaking style that he first developed in the Zuda series Supertron. While incorporating an amount of crass imagery and an over-the-top style, Mr. Sheldon’s work is nothing less than stunning. That being said, it doesn’t take away from Sanchez and Echert’s writing in the least. In fact, Sheldon’s art brings their story to a living and breathing entity that immerses you into their world.
But don’t let the art fool you, the writing is stellar, as well. Over the past 5 issues, the story definitely has its highs and lows, but Sanchez and Echert really do a fantastic job of wrapping up the series in a fitting way that in no way feels unnatural to the rest of the story [...]

Sneak Peek: ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ Trailer
The trailer for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be online tomorrow morning, but for now, here’s a 10-second sneak peek of the trailer.
Watch the clip here below.
You’d think not much could be shown in 10 seconds, but this little snippet actually reveals a lot. We see the fragile human Bella (Kristen Stewart) with her vampire love Edward (Robert Pattinson), who warns her of the consequences of her “choice” (if you read the book, then you know what this all-important choice is). There’s also wolf-boy Jacob’s (Taylor Lautner) proclamation to fight for Bella.
Yes, the love triangle will continue in Eclipse, which arrives in theaters June 30, 2010 [...]

Former Teen Star Corey Haim Dies At 38
Former teen star Corey Haim died this morning in Los Angeles of an accidental overdose. He was 38.
the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the actor’s death to TV station KTLA. He was found unresponsive in his apartment at around 3:30 am and was later pronounced dead at Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank.
The Canadian actor is best known for his childhood starring roles against onscreen buddy Corey Feldman in the 1980s in License to Drive and The Lost Boys, movies that quickly led to his teen idol status. While the 80s brought great success for Haim, the following decade did not follow suit. Haim’s roles consisted mostly of direct-to-video flops and the actor struggled to get back his once successful career while dealing with bankruptcy, drug dependency, and stints in rehab [...]

‘Fallout: New Vegas’ Screenshots Create Post-Apocalyptic Buzz
Duck and Cover has gotten their hands on a bunch of new screenshots from Bethesda Softworks and Obsidian Entertainment’s upcoming Fallout: New Vegas.
The game will be the fourth installment in the fantastic franchise that last delivered one of the greatest games ever made in Fallout 3, which was released in the Fall of 2008. This new adventure returns us to post-apocalyptic Las Vegas, and to a familiar area for fans of the first two games, which were set out west.
Throw on your vault jumpsuit, grab an ice cold Nuka Cola, and head on over to check out the new screenshots!
Obsidian was founded by many members of Black Isle Studios, who created Fallout and Fallout 2 for Interplay. Back then, Interplay Entertainment owned the property and when some complications arose in the relationship, they were forced to lay everyone at Black Isle off. Eventually, Bethesda acquired all of the rights to the Fallout franchise, and contracted Obsidian to develop this new title. Bethesda developed the best-in-series third game themselves, but will just be publishing Fallout: New Vegas this time around. [...]

Oscar Producers Explain Why Farrah Fawcett Was Missing From Memoriam
There were quite a few strange and questionable moments during this past Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony. Between some head-scratching winners to an angry George Clooney mystery, from random Kanye West ambushes, to the shocking and inexcusable exclusion of Farrah Fawcett from the In Memoriam section of the program, there was more than enough to talk about at the water cooler the next day.
It didn’t take long for the story behind that random ambush to come out, but why exactly was Fawcett forgotten? Well, the Academy has now attempted to explain their decision (yes, it was a decision), and folks might just be even more enraged knowing why than they were when it was just a question mark.
Continue reading to hear the explanation for yourself.
Radar Online spoke to Bruce Davis, executive director for the Academy, as well as Fawcett’s long-time partner Ryan O’Neal recently, and got all of the answers. [...]

Comic Review: First Wave #1
First Wave #1
Written by Brian Azzerello
Art by Rags Morales
Covers by J.G. Jones; Variant by Neal Adams
DC Comics
Price: $3.99; 40 pages
Released date: March 3, 2010
If you read the Doc Savage/Batman special from a few months ago, then you got a sneak peek of what the First Wave miniseries is like (but not much more, that special was pretty slim on story).
The goal of this miniseries is to combine various pulp heroes such as the aforementioned Doc Savage and Batman, as well as The Spirit and the Blackhawks. There are a lot of different characters in First Wave #1, and unfortunately the only one I have much familiarity with, Batman, was not in this issue. That means the whole issue focuses on who Doc Savage and The Spirit are, and that’s where this issue fails. I don’t think I’m alone when I say that I don’t know much about Doc Savage, and unfortunately, I don’t know much more after this issue, and I don’t really care to. I generally enjoy the writing of Brian Azzarello, or at least I enjoyed his writing on 100 Bullets, but there’s just not much to write home about this one. The dialog is fine, if uninspired, but the biggest problem is that I have no connection to these characters and this issue does nothing to foster a connection with them. If you don’t know the characters already, you won’t know them any better after this issue [...]

Open Graves
DVD
Directed by Álvaro de Armiñán
Starring Eliza Dushku, Mike Vogel, Ethan Raines, Gary Piquer
Lionsgate Home Entertainment
Release date: February 23, 2010
After a storm washes off a beach party, a group of friends retreat indoors to play a board game with a mysterious past. Those brave enough to play just might be putting their lives at risk; those who lose definitely are. Roll the dice.
Erica (Eliza Dushku) is trying to ‘find herself’ by surfing and living in a cool lighthouse in Spain where she meets glamour photographer Tomas (Ethan Raines) and ‘bum’ Jason (Mike Vogel). Much to Jason’s delight, Erica comes to the party and she joins them to play Mamba. The party soon takes a tragic turn when one of their friends is killed on his way to town and the circumstances of his death sound just like the game promised. Erica and Mike must find a way to stop the game’s curse and keep it from the clutches of Detective Izar.
Open Graves was written by the father/son team of Bruce A. Taylor and Roderick Taylor, whose most recent screen work was the Jodie Foster-starring The Brave One, directed by the excellent Neil Jordan. First-time director Álvaro de Armiñán has set and filmed much of the movie on location in Spain having picked some gorgeous locations, lots of old decrepit buildings, and in that respect it looks like a European horror movie which added to the overall eerie feel [...]

Exclusive: Abraham Lincoln Responds To ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ News
Earlier this week, we reported that Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov had signed on to produce a film adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s recently released book Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. The news of the plans for a Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunters movie was not all that surprising, considering the popularity of Grahame-Smith’s Jane Austen zombie mash-up [...]

Watch Now! Decoded ‘Tron: Legacy’ Puzzle Leads To Great New Trailer
Viral marketing has been a popular and entertaining method of promoting new films for a while now. Crafty videos with no known origins, guerilla-style fliers and posters slapped around town, and websites with mysterious puzzles are all good examples of these unique methods of getting the eyes and pockets of potential movie-goers solidified in their film.
The Walt Disney Company has no issues with the viral marketing option, and recently put together some cryptic puzzles in relation to their upcoming Tron: Legacy. When all of said puzzles were deciphered, the end-goal revealed a brand new trailer for the movie, and it is spectacular.
Click over to the other side to see the new trailer for Tron: Legacy, or head to the viral site for HD options!
I’ve never seen the original Tron (shame, I know), and I honestly don’t know how well it would play to me if I did watch it, considering how cheesy the effect seem to us so many years later. Because of this, I was never all that thrilled for this Tron sequel that has fans tweaking with excitement. [...]

New ‘Kick-Ass’ Posters & Synopsis Released Before SXSW Debut!
Kick-Ass is one of the most-anticipated movies in a long time; the promising mixture of a unique superhero story and an abundance of gore and profanity is music to the ears of fanboys everywhere.
The movie is based on the popular comics by Mark Millar and John S. Romita Jr., and it is directed by Matthew Vaughn. Even more appealing is the story of what Vaughn has gone through to get this movie made after studios bolted at the thought of a young girl swearing like a trucker and slaughtering bad guys left and right (Read: Behold The Wrath Of Hit-Girl: Watch The ‘Kick-Ass’ Red Band Trailer NOW!). But after all the effort was put in, and there was footage to be seen, studios battled to acquire it with Lionsgate eventually winning the rights to the film, which was also written by Vaughn and Jane Goldman.
Kick-Ass is finally about to make its debut at the upcoming SXSW film festival, and in celebration of its unveiling, Lionsgate has released a collection of four new posters being used together as one massive outdoor banner. [...]

UPDATED! The People Have Spoken: Betty White To Host ‘Saturday Night Live’
Early last month, we shared with you a fan-fueled mission to find a way to get Golden Girls star Betty White to host an episode of Saturday Night Live (Read: Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept It: Make Betty White An SNL Host!).
A special Facebook page was created for the job, and when we wrote about it then, it had 200,000 supporters. Now, it has almost 500,000 supporters, and the question looms larger than it ever has before: will Betty White get to host some SNL for us?
According to People, the answer to this question is yes. Speaking to the 88-year-old actress while she attended Elton John’s annual Oscars after-party, they seized the opportunity to ask her if she would be doing it, and she answered with a simple “yes.” And when they then went on to ask her what she thought of this random explosion of fan support, she replied “I don’t know why or how, but it’s been wonderful.” [...]

Oscar Night’s ‘Kanye Moment’ Has An Explanation & A Story
Last night at the Academy Awards, there was a strange moment that had people talking. It happened during the acceptance of the award for Best Documentary (Short Subject), which was won by the film Music by Prudence.
When the film won, director Roger Ross Williams came up to the stage to accept and make his speech. Out of nowhere, a woman came in took over the microphone as if no one was even there and began her own acceptance speech as Williams looked on stunned. This is of course being referred to as the “Kanye moment” after Kanye West infamously pulled the same stunt on Taylor Swift. It was so strange to see and until now, none of us had any idea of what happened side for the assumptions that maybe she had a Zoolander moment and thought another movie won.
The woman, as it turns out, was Elinor Burkett, who was also noted as one of the producers of the film. Burkett used to write for Salon, who was able to talk to both parties and uncover exactly what had happened to cause the situation. [...]
