Girl Deletes Boyfriend’s World of Warcraft Characters (Rage Ensues)
space
Tom Cheredar   |

Few things can drive a person to smash expensive electronics in a fit of pure and unadulterated rage. Having your girlfriend delete all your World of Warcraft level 80, geared-out characters while you run to the store for a pack of cigarettes is certainly one way to achieve this.

Such is the case with the video embedded below, which features the poor bastard’s girlfriend recording the experience while explaining her logic for deleting all those WoW characters.

“He thinks he’s going to be raiding all night, but let’s see about that,” she says in the video, and then proceeds to type out the required “D-E-L-E-T-E” confirmation before it processes the request.

While I’m sure there are plenty Geek-girls of Doom out there who’ll squeal with amusement (having possibly lost quality time with their own boyfriends due to the WarCrack addition), this was a pretty harsh move. Personally, I had to pause the video and psyche myself up to watch the reaction at the end — knowing it would be pretty heinous.

Gamer’s rage aside, an important lesson can be learned from all of this: “Don’t screw with your woman, or your woman will screw you… and then she won’t.”

Video

[NOTE: It serves him right for rolling Alliance instead of Horde, which is the preferred faction for Geeks of Doom’s WoW Guild.]

  1. I don’t play so I have zero clue about this, but is it just me or is she really quick with the WoW control navigation?

I suppose she could maybe play too and just not as much as he did, but I sure as hell wouldn’t have a clue where to even start the random deletion of someone’s accounts like that.

Not to say it was staged – don’t know why anyone would stage something that included punching their computer in the head – but it seemed odd to me.

  2. Frankly, I can’t imagine anything more malicious than what this girl did relative to the boyfriend’s hobby. My account got hacked and my characters deleted by strangers. It took about a week to have them restored. I am curious what the aftermath of this incident looked like. Did he realize “the error of his ways”? Or the girlfriend get kicked to the curb? I would guess that the result was not the romantic evening (or week) she may have envisioned.

I am trying not to sound like a complete ass to an outsider, he clearly was neglecting his personal relationship with his girlfriend. But she was completely disrespectful to him and the amount of time, effort and cash he had devoted to his hobby. Think of it this way, what if she had destroyed his pottery or paintings or manuscripts? What if she had hacked up his garden or set his car on fire? Would her actions have been inappropriate then?

  3. Holy smokes. What a horrible thing to do. While clearly the guy should be spending more time with his girl, this is akin to keying your boyfriends Lamborghini because the girl thinks he loves it more than her. And of course, shes probably right.

However, doing this is asking for violent assault. The amount of time it takes to level up those characters is real, and not fake time. And deleting it is saying–“You know what? All those hours (months or years actually) you just spent gearing up your dudes? It was all wasted and for naught. Hahaha.”

Yeah, shes in for a rude surprise, and I suspect the police will be involved at some point.

  4. yaaaa…. don’t think i would destroy my monitor… but i would probably be majorly pissed off, keyboard would be destroyed, but sure as hell not a monitor. i don’t think i would ever trust my gf again after something like that either, knowing the time/money put into an mmo, but i played ffxi, sooooo much more time to put into ffxi than wow to max out character(s) so meh on wow, he’ll be maxed out again in like a week XD

  6. WOW as a recovering WoW addict, watching that made me die a little inside… yet appreciate the choice i made seeing as how some succubus could have destroyed everything in a moment of vulnerability such as going to buy smokes. Needy chicks like that need to find a hobby, not attack a man’s WoW account!

  7. I can see if in the set-up we learn something about him like he hasn’t left the house in 2 weeks because he’s playing WoW, or that the lost his job because he was busy playing WoW. But, her whole motivation for doing this was ‘he thinks he’s going on a raid tonight’, that’s not enough to warrant what she did. Now, why he went off on his own computer, I don’t know, that was quite extreme. I would love to see what happened next. Look for the network TV adaptation real soon!

  9. I get so tired of hearing about these whinny little girls who do not like how much time their boyfriends spend on gaming. I highly doubt this is a new development in the relationship, he was undoubtedly a gamer when you met him so give it a rest. And another thing, how could any good possibly come from deleting his characters? Like he is just going to stop gaming because of this. She is an idiot and her death would please me.

Why do women want to change there guy’s personality and behaviors after they get with them?

By the way, I am a girl and a gamer, I only date geeks because of this exact type of thing. Who else could understand taking a few days off of work to play new releases?

  11. I’m pretty sure Blizzard would be willing to restore his deleted characters (probably not all the items), although it might be kind of hard to contact them with no monitor…

My last girlfriend and I used to share a WoW account but when our relationship got rocky she changed the password and got an authenticator. I ended up losing my main character in the break-up but then again I hadn’t played in over a year so it wasn’t that big of a deal. Our situation was somewhat reversed since she used to ignore me for WoW a lot of the time.

There is also the possibility that this video is all just staged. He might have already chosen to give up WoW and wanted to get a brief moment of internet notoriety from it all. I’m basing this on the fact that the girl had the foresight to go on to one of his characters and get rid of individual items making it harder/impossible for blizzard to recover them before she deleted what looked to be his main. She would have had to know how the recovery process works which means either she is a WoW player, she did her research or he coached her on what to do.

  12. Holy crap! That’s malicious. I would never do that to someone I claimed as a boyfriend! Of course, I used to game, so I know how much work you put into your characters. But the overall behavior… it boggles the mind. Why would she go to all the trouble of individually deleting the gear??

But dude, it wasn’t the monitor’s fault. Next time focus your anger on the cause, not the effect (i.e., that hateful girlfriend of yours).

    Comment by Christine — June 12, 2010 @ 3:40 pm

  13. How much money/time was spent building that character? How many monthly fees and how many months did it take? I wonder, did he build his computer for that game?

There could be thousands of dollars deleted and another thousand lost for the insane destruction of the computer, so … I wonder what the total cost really was.

    Comment by W00TFH — June 12, 2010 @ 4:45 pm

  14. I’d be sooo mad if my boyfriend did that too me, but I don’t play *too* much. But still that’s just too mean :/ I’m sure he could get his characters reactivated. She should have just joined him :P His reaction is a bit dramatic … now he won’t be able to play at all until he gets a new monitor :D Everyone has their hobbies, I’m sure she would have been pissed if she destroyed/deleted something of hers too. If he played 24/7 I could understand her being upset over it, but deleting his characters is just going to make it worse.

  19. I’m a girl who games also, and boy or girl, anyone who would do that is someone that can’t be trusted period. Someone who could do that to a person, knowing how it would affect the person you supposedly love, would go to any length and do anything. I hope he kicked her arse out on the street after ripping up a few of her favorite things. My god, we don’t have relationships at the expense of everythign else in life we like. People should choose mates that enjoy the same hobbies, because relationships should make the 2 people happier, not stressed out. I’d rather be single than have to feel guilty about doing something I enjoy. Omg, she’s a mean bi atch!

    Comment by PCPrincess — June 13, 2010 @ 11:05 am

  20. She’d be kicked to the curb. I don’t play WOW, but that is blatant disrespect. She knew the deal, especially if he had several lvl 80 characters. He didn’t get them overnight. She’s jealous he won’t spend time with her, so she does something that bad to something he’s clearly put a lot of time in and enjoys, now he won’t be spending ANY time with her anymore, or I wouldn’t anyways. Leave it to a woman to follow that logic.

    Comment by Scott — June 13, 2010 @ 11:12 am

  21. well I guess she doesn’t want to be with him anymore. I wouldn’t date someone who destroys my hobby like that. It bet he wished his monitor was his girls face.

  24. He should have told her to get the fuck out. No matter what went on before – they weren’t married, so those characters were his – not hers. She had absolutely no right to do that.

He should have just kicked her ass out for good.

    Comment by Narco Taco — June 13, 2010 @ 11:18 am

  25. Yeah…. lol i think i enjoy all the people defending this man’s WoW account more than the actual video. Who knows what the back story is between these two but the truth of the matter is MMORPG’s are a complete waste of time and money and really it’s like any addiction, too much of anything is bad for you. Although this is a terrible thing to do to someone because of how much time he spent on those characters, it’s really his own fault for a few reasons.

    1. He has a girlfriend who doesn’t respect/care about his interests

    2. He more than likely neglected their relationship if he was spending that much time playing WoW

    3. He was oblivious to the world around him and when people are that naive about how they effect their close relationships they’re pretty deserving of backlash for their own ignorance.

  27. I don’t even play that game , but that was a shitty thing to do. I know that it takes alot of time to level these characters up , I think maybe there was a better way to handle getting your guy attention.

    Comment by Windy — June 13, 2010 @ 11:31 am

  28. Spending all hours of the night playing a video game, rather than spending it with another person in the flesh is more wrong than this chick deleting his players.

Some describe it as a hobby? It’s no longer a hobby when you put that much time into it. A hobby is not supposed to be an obsession/addiction. I think most of you are just down playing it because of how much you know it can damage a life. You may not want to accept it now, but there is life after World of Warcraft.

This is a game that should have never been created. It would be completely different if you destroyed paintings or pottery or some other product of a hobby. Only because it was only a hobby and not an obsession.

    Think about it.

  29. 1- opening a GM ticket ingame will get you all of your toon back in less than a day. Of course to do so now he needs to buy a new monitor.

2- If your gf has to go that far maybe it’s time for you to re-evaluate your priorities.

3- He was an ally and that’s pretty much what all allies deserves anyway! :P

  30. this has gotta be staged. i mean if it were my account, i would totally get on WOW support to see if something had happened to my account. but no he just smashes his screen without doing any research or anything. Doesnt even ask the GF if she knows what happened. LAME and BORING.

    Comment by stinky — June 13, 2010 @ 11:33 am

  31. It could be staged, but, if it is it’s still good and he looks like he’s truly upset.

Consider, he only punched out the monitor and not the machine. He didn’t bother to troubleshoot at all or even maybe call Blizzard and ask what happened, and what’s to say that he dosen’t already have another that he’s upgrading to?

There’s always the what if, but, good vid either way.

    Comment by Hahaha — June 13, 2010 @ 11:35 am

  33. Nomis – We know absolutely nothing about them, or about how much time he does or doesn’t spend with her. What we do know, is that she destroyed something of his, knowing it would upset him. It doesn’t matter what it was, that she destroyed, be it a video game character or a car. She chose the wrong way to deal with what she perceived as a problem with their relationship. You CAN’T have a relationship without trust. The trust is now gone, and they will probably break up. That is what should have happened before she destroyed something valuable of his.

    Comment by jeff — June 13, 2010 @ 11:42 am

  36. Nomis–yeah, he really freaked out, which I thought was a bit too much. However, I have to disagree that MMO’s are a complete waste of time and money. By your logic, so are a garden, many books, TV, FPS, and just about every board game in existence. These all are ways to unwind and/or relax. If you have extra money then what is the harm? Depriving yourself of entertainment would do more hard than spending modest amounts of money on it.

    1. Yeah, I wouldn’t go out with a bitch girlfriend like that.

    2. How much is “that much”? If he was a raider then he could play anywhere from 6 to 20 hours (I’m guessing) raiding a week. I mean, he could do other stuff, but even 20 hours a week (probably the upper limit on raiding time in hardcore guilds) is easily doable in 3-4 late nights.

    3. Don’t assume that the girlfriend was constantly upset about WoW. Also, just because she didn’t like WoW she didn’t have to go do what she did.

  37. Leeroy!!!

As an ex-addictive gamer. If the relationship gto to the point that she felt she needed to do that then it’s justified. Come on. The age old comment “It’s a game”. She’s probably done him a favour in the long run.

    Comment by Szeto — June 13, 2010 @ 11:53 am

  39. Michael–you can’t really know how much time he actually put into it. Also, 15 hours a week (nearing the upper end of hardcore raiding guilds, I don’t really know many in WoW to do more than that) is the least amount of time I put into tennis a week during the spring. How is it that someone like me, a JV tennis player, is fine when they put that much time into tennis or some other sport, but when someone puts some unnamed time into WoW it is an obsession? A raid is like any other team. At cross-country practice if my attendance isn’t 90% then I’m off the team and everyone expects it. You are there however long the coach says you are, no excuses. Want to hang Friday night? Sorry, I have a game. With WoW, even putting ONE night a week aside is screaming “I HAVE NO LIFE!!!!!!!!” in many people’s eyes.

But after thinking about it, he was a total loser and by looking at him, he probably deserved it. Smokers are weak losers. He thinks he’s a bad ass with his tats and can’t control his temper. Last thing I’d do is cause more damage to myself, ha.

  42. HAHAHAHAHAHA!! hahahaha! Take action and get your boyfriend back! I think that shit is hilarious. He was probably ignoring her too much and living together with her. !!!But, if you get that mad over a ‘GAME’ that is absolutely pathetic. Hobby or not, he needs to find a new one that involves his girlfriend if he wants to keep her (OBVIOUSLY!!!hahahaha) and not take games too seriously, competitive or not, games are designed for fun but when you overindulge it can become a bad thing. He’ll thank her for it later. Why wouldn’t you contribute a little more to other people instead of just yourself, isolating and selfishly playing that game all hours of the day? Hell, I used to play Starcraft, even won tournaments at it, and was totally addicted to it but when I stopped I began to see major improvements in my productivity and limited attraction to life. PEOPLE GET OUT THERE FROM YOUR DUNGEONS! The number one cause of asthma is stems from the invention of Nintendo and the Internet. You know why? It’s because all of our dead skin, bacteria, mold spores, viruses, and dust mites build up and multiply and dig into the carpets and chairs and blankets when we get too comfortable living in the same exact spot for that much time. It’s like a frog boiling to death because it does not feel the temperature change.

Also, if this ever happens to anyone here…just go to the Customer Service forums or give Blizz a call. You’ll eventually get your gear and toons back, but you’re gonna miss a few raids while waiting. It’s completely silly to destroy all of your computer equipment.

  46. Honestly, if video games are that much of a problem in a relationship, then they need to go.

There’s a real world out there that a lot of people are missing because of a virtual one. It’s one thing when you’re single, it’s another when you have obligations. I see it as no different than drugs. If my wife were neglecting our marriage for drugs or anything else, I would try to stop it any way I could.

I would punch my boyfriend in the face if he deleted all my hard work over years and years, whether it be in a manuscript or a video game. It’s a controlling psychotic lack of disrespect, and I’d be more worried about what she’d do to HIM if he has the nerve to break up with her– this is serious fatal attraction stuff.

  52. If she didn’t like how much he played, she should have talked to him about it. If that didn’t work out, break it off. Deleting his characters is, as said before, akin to vandalizing his property.

If the roles were reversed and my boyfriend did that to me, I would never want to see him again. It would be a wakeup call, but not in the way she probably expects: there’s no way it would result in spending more time together. I agree with earlier posters; it demonstrates a complete lack of respect, and shows how immature *she* is.

It also demonstrates why it’s easier just to be single. :-)

    Comment by Amanda — June 13, 2010 @ 12:29 pm

  53. Why didn’t she just break up with him? This is like trashing his Ferrari because she doesn’t like the way he drives. Did she think he’d take her in his arms and murmur, “You were right, sweetie”? What possible good outcome did she expect from this? This is pure evil malice. She’s damn lucky he didn’t kill her.

    Comment by Creatrix — June 13, 2010 @ 12:44 pm

  54. He’s going to get the items back. Blizz will restore your shit in situations like this, no problem. It may take a few days or a week but that’s all.
And for people saying don’t give out your password…she didn’t need it, he was logged in already. I guess you could say he should’ve logged out, but there’s nothing wrong with trusting your girlfriend.
And as some other people have said, if she doesn’t like the fact that he’s spending too much time on WoW, and she can’t talk him out of it, then leave the guy. Don’t delete his WoW chars.

Leveling characters like that takes real time and real money, so in that situation it creates real rage. Let’s hope it was staged for the sake of humanity.

    Comment by Jason — June 13, 2010 @ 1:18 pm

  57. @Nomis – You talk about not knowing the actual story, then you proceed to make a lot of assumptions and generalizations.

First, you know nothing about his playing habits. You can’t conclude that he’s addicted or that he spends too much time in front of the computer. In fact, he seems to be in pretty good shape, so that already puts a significant dent in your theory.

Next, your typical MMO costs $15~ a month, with a larger fee for the initial purchase and possibly once a year for expansions. Truth is, MMOs are one of the best cost for entertainment values of any activity on the market.

Finally, if the girlfriend felt the need to do this (and, by the way, she knew how to navigate WoW pretty well… so I’d guess she plays / played), then there wasn’t much of a relationship in the first place. A normal girl would simply leave a neglectful boyfriend. Instead she video tapes the act and his reaction, posting it to the internet. To me, that says there’s more of a stability problem with her than him.

    Comment by Charlie — June 13, 2010 @ 1:20 pm

  58. She needed to talk with him about it. If she’d already done that, and he refused to change, her option is to leave him. Hurting him instead of either solving the problem or leaving, is just immature, so maybe they deserve each other.

    Comment by MT — June 13, 2010 @ 1:36 pm

Sorry bro you had to deal with that bs.

  69. Jesus, all these udiotic comments. I wonder if I am the only person that thinks that dude is a psycho, and has a serious addiction problem. That girl did him a favour. Seriously, trashing your PC because a few virtual characters got deleted?
“But maaan that lvl 80 takes ages to lvl” Yeah, and the fact that he did is another indicator of a problem. He should get help, if he didn’t kill himself over missed raids by now.

  70. Wouldn’t have bothered me one bit. I would have contacted Blizzard for a character restore, have a few days off from WoW. Which is good, because during that time I would kick her ass to the curb. If she was living with me, she would come home to all her shit sitting on the front lawn.

Seriously, who needs a bitch of a girlfriend like that.

Good thing I don’t have to deal with that shit. My wife doesn’t care what game I play or for how long. She games too, so its all good.

And just so you total nerds know – while you’re busy with your medievel “gamer world”, I am telling your girlfriend that she is right: you are a complete fucking moron who is wasting his time and that I would never do that if she was with me. Then I am fucking your girlfriend. Hard. And there are a lot of guys out there just like me.

Get off the game screen and get back into real life.

You have a week to 14 days to call up customer service and have them roll back the delete.

No lasting harm done. And in this case, he sticks it to that “girlfriend” of his.

Also. How did she know his password? And for someone that doesn’t seem to like WoW she sure was able to navigate the controls rather well.

    Comment by Anon — June 13, 2010 @ 4:08 pm

  75. He deserves it…WoW is so gay. Spend some time with a girl or in a fictitious land fighting fictitious creatures??? I’m gonna go with the second option because I clearly like to live an alternative life than my real one, because my real one sucks so bad. Grow up kiddos, if you spent half the time hanging out with your girls you wouldn’t have to waste your life. You could be having sex.

    Comment by Alshonsky — June 13, 2010 @ 4:41 pm

  76. For everyone asking how she knew his pass, she didn’t need it.. he left it logged in idiots.

From a female that has played.. I would have been pissed enough to have the same reaction honestly. I’ve also been on her end of the stick, so to speak. I’ve had a period when I didn’t really do much MMOing, at least not when he wasn’t, too, or something. But that’s the beside the point. But I would never do something like that.

For one, I understand spending real money on something that you love to do: games, art, cars, music, etc. Sure, it may take a week to get leveled back if you go that route, as some had said. But that’s still a week worth of more sitting there (in her perspective) and more raiding and more time away from her.

For another, I’ve put real money into hobbies, and I would be devastated if someone went and “deleted” everything I worked on. Be it my months of work on pieces of art or weeks of work on a MMO character. Putting time into something generally creates some kind of bond to it (human nature, don’t argue that point) and some kind of responsibility to it.

  78. The right thing to do would be to break up with that girl and get her out of your life immediately. If she does that with something you care about, then she’s selfish and untrustworthy. It’s okay to try to talk your partner into giving up WoW, but that’s ultimately the other person’s decision to make, not yours. That this happened only proves that this relationship has already failed and has to end.

Girl, whoever you are, and I say this from the heart — fuck you.

either way, not a chance in hell the guy stayed with her after this…

    Comment by Anon — June 13, 2010 @ 5:27 pm

  81. Ouch. I play WoW with my boyfriend, but not terribly often. It just gives us something to do together when it’s crappy out and we feel like killing stuff online. Granted, I understand his frustration and anger…leveling to 80 and gearing it up takes a lot of time (depending on how fast you choose to do it). Imagine having THREE of those characters deleted and gone all at once. Yeesh.

I honestly don’t think it’s staged. He looked genuinely upset and surprised. Besides, if he was THAT serious about his gaming, he probably wasn’t thinking about contacting Blizzard and getting his characters restored right at that moment. His thoughts were probably more along the lines of, “OMG, WTF? ARRRRRRRRRRGGG! SMASH! KILL!”

What she did was pretty mean and extremely disrespectful, but to a certain extent, I can see where she’s coming from. I know girls who have lost their boyfriends to WoW. I know guys who have lost their jobs to WoW. I know a couple of guys who lost both in the same week and they never thought twice about it until their bills stacked up and bit them in the ass. To some people, it can be addictive and every once in a while, a brutal wake up call is needed.

But then again, we don’t know the whole situation. She could have tried talking to him about it, but he just didn’t care. Or maybe she’s just a bitch. Perhaps it was all staged. We don’t know.

BTW – to those of you who are telling gamers to get a life and go back to their girlfriends, lighten up. Sometimes, we LIKE to play these games with our boyfriends. Does it take up all of our time? No. We go to work, we work out, we go on dates with each other, we hang out with our friends….its not like playing video games every once in a while takes up our whole lives, and its really not a fair assumption to make about everyone who likes to play video games once in a while.

    A few points:

How convenient that his kick of the monitor is right in front of the camera, even tho the first few strikes took it off to the other side of the room.

Any seasoned WoW player knows that Blizzard will undelete this character upon request, and if you ask quickly enough you will get your items back too.

Who is he angry with? Why is his first reaction not to just assume its some bug with the server/realm that blizzard will eventually fix? If he is angry because he suspects his g/f is the cause, then why didn’t he confront her immediately?

    Ya fake.

Get the impression he forgot that there was a life outside of WoW. I’d expect my GF to step in and do something if I ever got like this, totally pathetic. As for him sorting things out, you know, if he hadn’t freaked out and broken his screen, he can at least go through support and claim his characters back; it’s obvious for them that it’s been done maliciously, and whilst it might take a while it’ll get sorted.

And it’s not just WoW, it should be the same if any hobby gets the better of your real life commitments. Don’t know the full story behind the video ofc, but I can have a good guess at what happened to lead up to this…

    Comment by dave — June 13, 2010 @ 6:48 pm

  95. I really hate when jealous girlfriends delete characters or destroy consoles. I mean, really, if he’s not spending enough time with you, leave him. If that doesn’t get him to change his ways nothing will. Do you really think deleting his characters is going to get him to like you more or spend more time with you?

How would you feel if he thought you spent to much time shopping so he started throwing out all your clothes. Or maybe you like playing sports, or watching movies so he throws out your TV or DVDs?

People invest a lot of time and money into this game. Like it or not it’s an investment and this chick just delete what probably amounted to thousands of dollars spent in both time and money.

If he’s not spending enough time with you find something you guys can do together. Find something that will draw his attention. Deleting his characters is NOT the way to do it. It’s a sure fire way to lose the boyfriend.

If deleting the characters is just being done out of spite, he’s better off without you in the first place.

    Comment by Dennis — June 13, 2010 @ 6:55 pm

  96. Doing her physical harm would be against the law.

The guy should take some time off from the game.. (after request character restore).. and nail as many of her girlfriends as possible..and kick her ass to the curb..

    Not necessarily in that order.

There is a right way and a wrong way to ‘help’ someone.. this is the wrong way. If he was addicted to drugs.. hiding his drugs will not change him.. that’s why they have interventions.

  100. I am a girl and my boyfriend is not a gamer and i still understand exactly why she did this and where it came from. I hope however that she was doing it as a way to break up with him because it is a little too malicious for just a wakeup call. I am also 100% sure that she would have played too in an attempt to get closer to her boyfriend hence her knowing how to delete everything sufficiently. His reaction while quite violent and too destructive was also probably warrented. Being a girl I’ll give her the benfit of the doubt and assume she already spoke to him about how she felt.

  104. Ok people, it’s fine to discuss what WOULD happen if this were real, or what you WOULD do, but this is not real. Think about it. You would spend a lot more time trying to figure it out — maybe call/email the support line — ask your girlfriend since she obviously knows how to play the game and has his password — something. The thing is, if you’re addicted, you would be VERY slow to accept that this were final. Also, unless you were financially more well off than this guy seems to be, you MIGHT smash your keyboard, but not stomp your monitor to death. It was fun to watch, but it’s nuts to think this was real.

  108. The fact that some of you guys are suggesting that if he beat her up it’s okay and she ‘deserved’ it, or that he is allowed to project such rage and violence against her because of her actions, just goes to show that WOW isn’t a good thing, and should probably never have been created.

Drug addicts react the way he did, pure frustration and rage. As someone said, she flushed his “coke stash down the toilet”, and just like if she was in that kind of situation for real (as in she flushed her druggy boyfriend’s REAL stash), it probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do. His anger is plain as day.

WOW is an addictive product, and nothing with addictive qualities is good for you.

All you WOW players out there, you should quit WOW now, while you can. Get outside, meet new people. Live, grow and enjoy life. Most of all, be happy and FREE of your addiction.

There are very few instances where it is EVER appropriate to hit another human being, like say… self defense. It has nothing to do with if he’s a nerd or not, or doesn’t spend time with him or not or if “it’s just a game.” It takes REAL time and REAL effort and REAL frustration to level up that high and it’s no different than someone like Enron coming along and immediately making your stock market portfolio worthless. It’s like a swift kick in the nuts. Blatant and intentional destruction of property out of spite should always be brutally punished.

A few posts ago some asshole named “Matt” compared this to “flushing a drug stash down the toilet.” Guess what Matt, that falls into the same category that deserves a righteous beating. People can do what the fuck they want with themselves, who are to tell them how to live? If someone wants to do heroin instead of “going out and meeting people” then they have the right to make that choice even if you don’t agree with it. So yes flushing drugs or WOW characters down the toilet is grounds for a lashing with cat of 9 tails.

  127. How does one go about comparing WoW to Pottery? It’s like comparing a goose and a duck. There are far too many unknown factors on both sides of the equation. Cost, Time, Practically, History, Personality, Sleep Habits, Profitable, the Relationship…. One thing I do know is Sculptures don’t usually Sculpt all night…. and if they do, a Relationship is just an unwise idea to begin with.

She would not be your passion, your ART would. IF World of Warcraft is an ART and it is his passion, then he should be wise enough not to get close enough to a women (like her) because she will be hurt. Please note the placement of IF, it is a presumption like most of us have done.

It’s sad that some people spend so much time stuck in virtual reality they forget about reality. The reality is, you shouldn’t have a girlfriend if you spend more time playing a game than spending it with her. And no girl should put up with it to the point of having to do that. “I can’t wait to see the follow up video of him beating that bitch to a pulp yelling ” For the Alliance”

“hope he strangled that bitch to death.”

“I would have broken every bone in both her hands, then send her ass to the curb.”

    Another gem:

“…being a lame bitch that can’t get her bf off WoW. we never saw her in the video so she’s prolly a fat bitch that he uses for money. ”
Yes, fat girls are worthless as humans, but rich!

Keep it classy, assholes. WoW is not reality, not productive, not healthy for your brain or your body. It cannot further you in life, a job, or anything else for that matter. It’s a waste of time.

It looks a bit staged as well because there is no build up of anger, he just snaps without knowing what happened or trying to reboot the game. Unrealistic looking, but dedicated acting if you are going to punch plastic and glass materials to get an effect.

If it is real maybe the girl should be grateful that she has seen the light and got to see his anger without her head being the target. That’s way too much acting out for a grown man, maybe he deserves to have his stuff erased, good job lady.

Maybe the damn kid should of saved his characters to some sort of back-up memory. :)

  135. So yea, he didn’t spend the night raiding on WoW. Instead he spent the night raiding his girlfriends face with his fist. God I hope so cuz she deserves it. Really, that b*tch deserves to be beaten all night long and then killed in the morning. What kind of controlling, manipulating trashbag of feces would erase thousands of hours of effort. She even deleted all the gear off his favorite character before deleting the character. Why? Because u saw him spend countless hours getting those particular pieces of gear? Sweet Jebus I hope that little vindictive b*tch reaps what she sowed there.
And the comment about how this guy is a loser pretty much, yea probably so…but guys, there are millions of women that will realize a good man, even if he plays WoW, and would be happy to have that relationship…and if your woman isn’t one of those, then ditch her sorry ass and get another. There is plenty of pussy in the world, but your WoW account is one of a kind. The spiteful bitch in this video needs to date the kind of douchebag that doesn’t play WoW…the guy on meth who beats her for looking suspicious while he stays up for a week straight..hell he’s gotta have something to do during that time he should be sleeping..beating his girlfriend up for whatever delusion works. The guy in the video will play WoW again, but until he does, I hope he spends his time on meth and beating up his girlfriend. God I hope he does. Cuz God forbid he play WoW. So he can beat on her til she moves back home with her family and then someone can give him an axe so he can raid his girlfriend’s family’s house. Look out! You’ve got aggro from the crazy bitch’s mom! Use sunder on her kneecaps with your baseball bat of determination! Now quick, pop vanish and ambush the dad with your shank of loathing! And there’s the bitch herself!!! Use douse with gasoline followed by Lighter of Illumination! You did it! Your quest has been completed and you now have Vision of Truth, and the truth is, that bitch got what she deserved! Yay! Hurrah!
Afterwards as they take him to jail, the only thing he sees in his head is the final scene from Star Wars: A New Hope and he gets a medal around his neck. Its good to be a geek. Even better to be a crazy one.
But for reals, that bitch deserves some heinous shit.

  136. But seriously, what she did is absolutely evil. It takes thousands of hours to do what he had on that game, and you can’t just get it all back, and you can’t “save it on a backup” like some retard suggested. You people that don’t play it or another game like it simply don’t understand that it takes a LOT of time and mental effort to get that shit done and you CANNOT get it back once its deleted. Sometimes they can bring back some things but I doubt they could bring back all that shit…and hell, if its that bad of a relationship just leave him…or talk him into selling those characters which would have gotten you a thousand dollars easily! No no, just go ahead and delete them like a fool. While you’re at it, go burn your purse with all the cash in it and leave your car in the middle of the interstate to be destroyed. That all makes as much sense.

I pray this is all fake. But I doubt it. I’ve been with evil women, much worse than that one, and they will do anything to anyone.

  139. What amazes me is the fact that she knew what to type before getting back to the character screen so she could then use the mouse. I agree with a former poster that she probably played the game but like some got bored easily and either reduced her time playing or quit altogether. There is a right and wrong way to go about this and she definitely chose the wrong way. I hope he does break it off and moves on to someone else.

  140. I am a girl and my boyfriend does play WOW and we have had those problems of not spending enough time with me or having his priorities straight but a friend (on the game) suggested I try playing. I gave it a chance and now I do, I have a level 80 and it’s way better than fighting for my attention.
We compromise on what we are going to do, if I wanna go out and see a movie he’ll do that if he wants to play I let him.
At the times when I would get angry I would never have thought to delete anything, maybe quit his subscription but never actually follow through.
I feel bad for this guy because she did something totally wrong, that is not how you resolve a problem that’s just causing more drama.
Although My boyfriend would have done the same thing gotten mad and physically hurt the computer so it makes sense for him to go insane. I would go crazy too if my boyfriend had threw away all my shoes or or something dear to me.
Also Yes she definitely has played before that girl character may have even been hers because she didn’t do anything with that one. And it is not staged this is way to bad to have it be staged especially several 80’s that’s a lot of work and just to delete for a show is dumb.

  145. why do girlfriends think that they are in-titled to a mans time? IMO the problem isnt that he spent to much time on a game… he probably stopped spending time with her for a reason. maybe he was done with the relationship, but didnt want to hurt her like she had hurt him with all of her manipulating ways? maybe he felt that he was in-titled to sex(like she thought she was in-titled to his time)and when she started withholding sex b/c he didnt want to meet her parents, or b/c he didnt do the dishes on the 12th 3 months before, he stoped wanting to spend time with her.

if my girlfriend EVER did anything like this to me, I’d Burn Her Shoes, Books and Paintings, b/c she spends lord knows how many hours painting, reading and spending my money while I’m the only one at work making the money that we live on.

sorry about my grammar, I’m ranting b/c I’m sick of seeing woman abusing their men on youtube videos.

    Comment by Dane — June 15, 2010 @ 5:39 pm

  147. Ok, seriously? These comments are down-right disturbing. Suggesting that she should have taken the physical abuse rather than the monitor is shameful. No one deserves to be abused, especially by someone who claims to care for them. I don’t know what happened after this video, but the subject obviously has violent tendencies and anger issues and I hope the girlfriend left the relationship.

I have been in a relationship in which I was second to WoW (among other addictions) and I definitely considered doing the same thing. It is extremely painful to constantly be ignored by someone you love for a game.

When a game can cause that kind of reaction, it is no longer a hobby, but an addiction. Would we pity this guy if his girlfriend had flushed his meth down the toilet? Would we suggest that he should have beaten her to a pulp?

    Comment by Holly — June 15, 2010 @ 6:45 pm

  148. As a female gamer (who hates WoW) I think that was a really terrible, malicious, coldhearted thing to do. I mean seriously…

If I felt that neglected because my boyfriend was playing his game too much, I’d talk to him. If that didn’t work, I might, as a last resort, change his password and lock him out (and let him back in after he agreed to hear me out). At worst, I’d break up with him. But destroying something that important to him? Wtfhax.

  151. I was involved in a wow intervention once. i totally pwned a 15 year old’s account.
first i answered a trade chat asking for a BS combine which the character didn’t even have. i took the mats and vendored them to the blacksmithing vendor. Next i stripped the character of all his BOP epics and DEd them. and then put the crystals on the ah for 10 silver buyout. all the while this guy was getting all nerd rage on me in trade and yell and people in org were telling him to stfu.

i vendored everything he had, both in his bank and his bags and gave his 2000g to what was clearly a level 1 bank alt. then i started telling racist jokes for about a minute.
then i logged off and deleted the character. then created a character with the same name (a rogue, he had been a lock before).

before i got out even out of the crypt in deathknell that guy was spamming me, i just told him to f off and put him on ignore.

i played through the opening quests and felt a bit of nostalgia but it was frustrating not being able to dual wield. i had only ever played a a rogue on a friend’s 70, and this was before rogues could dualwield from the beginning.

as i was making my way to the undercity a GM sent me a tell andi just started telling some of the racist jokes in the middle of the third one i lost connection to the server.

when the kid got home, his mother told him that she had his account deleted and i told him everything that i did. I warned her he might go insane like try to put a remote control is his ass but she didn’t believe me. instead he drove a riding lawnmower into a pond.

  153. no shiyt people he got mad, that was his hobby. he spent time, and MONEY to get that far. just as a girl would get mad for someone destroying her 8000000 dollar purse or breaking all the windows out of your car. just because ur a attention whore doesnt mean u can go and break and delete peoples stuff…

    Comment by thtguy — June 16, 2010 @ 6:14 pm

  154. Staged in my opinion… I had a few problems with the video.

    My problems:
    1) She knows her way around the game. Not conclusive evidence, she may have played at some point too, but still… raises suspicions and the suspicion led me to look for more.

    2) She’s deleting the characters and typing on the keyboard… and the Camera’s moving. Sooooooo if she’s typing, who’s the idiot who can’t keep the camera still?

    3) Why delete individual specific items? The characters themselves can be deleted from the main screen as you saw her do with two of them. So why log in to one of them and specifically delete the high level gear, knowing you only have to delete the character…

What I think is going on:
They’re pulling a fast one on Blizz(or rather trying to) I think items of any importance have already been sold for Gold and that gold traded to another character(probably on HER account). Then to cover their tracks they’re dressing the act up as though the account was hacked, Gold sellers commonly hack accounts to steal gold to sell for real money and they also sell high level soulbound armor to NPC’s for that extra cash as an extra ‘spite’, them deleting the gear makes it appear this has happened which is why her act of deleting the gear raised my suspicions.
But why stop there, if you’re gonna do this you may as well maximize on fun, why not make a web video and pretend the GF just deleted all the characters. So for the price of a $60-80 monitor(being generous), you now have a video that is getting several hits a day online from WoW players the world over. Meanwhile calling blizz and telling them the account was hacked whose standard fix is to roll the character back money, gear and all taking generally 2-3days. So now they’ve lost nothing, in fact, they’ve gained the Gold they traded to another character on her account before deleting them, doubling their money.

Anywho, thats what I think is going on. And for her sake, I hope I’m right. If I’m wrong and that was real, she crossed the line and if he finds out what really happened(probably will by the fame of this video) then she’s opened the door to a new unfriendly type of warfare. Hope she doesn’t collect dolls, or have any of Mom’s fine china, if she does she may come home to find it all burning on the front lawn the next time she goes out, and I think he’s fully within his rights to exact just that kind of revenge :)

    Either way, funny stuff.

  155. Giant ass dickmove, nothing else to it. Allthough he probably should’ve played that game with more moderation, she still was in the wrong to do this. The time, and effort involved is massive to gear up all those characters. If she felt he played WoW too much, talking with him would’ve been the right move, not fuck his shit up. That goes to anything really. If that doesnt work, break up and move on.

    Comment by Chris — June 17, 2010 @ 10:20 pm

  156. Why didnt he exit the game then restart it? As any techy would think ‘Oh maybe there having database issues…perhaps if i exit and relogin all will be restored to normal.’ Instead of this fail-safe check first…he bashes his monitor. This is Gold-gain fakery at its best.

  160. Jesus Christ on a cracker… Now, physical violence is never the answer. I’d never hit my boyfriend for any reason.

However, he should dump her ass. To all you assholes saying shit about WoW players: Shut the fuck up. My BF, has a good job, works a lot, had a car before it got totaled last week, has a LOT of friends, has a girlfriend(me), and raids 4 times a week, for 3 hours. So… no. Do I think he plays a little too much? Yeah. But I talk to him about it. I also have my OWN hobbies to keep myself occupied while he’s raiding if I’m there. Plus, I got to see him and his guild defeat the Lich King for the first time. I was actually kind of impressed, even though I hate WoW with a fiery passion. His guild members are hilarious.

I tried it, and was bored. I’m a gamer, but it wasn’t my thing. But seriously, that would be like someone wiping my PS2 memory card. I have about 300+ hours on that card from gaming. Shit. That bitch needs to be kicked to the curb. I put about the same amount of effort into my console games, and if someone fucked my shit up, I’d smash something, too. Not a person, but definitely objects. She’s a bitch.

Ha, he stumbled this to me. I assured him I’d never pull this shit.

  169. Alright, so I’ve read a couple of comments, I play my self and if my boyfriend did that to me I would freak out. It’s taken me 3 years to get my 4 80’s to geared and raiding status and even if its a simple call the Blizzard (WHICH ISN’T THAT SIMPLE, Took me 3 days to get a hold of someone when my account was hacked! Then I was locked out for 2 weeks!) the first shock is almost like loosing a dog you’ve raised from a puppy only to find out someone took that dog and killed it. Some of you think, ‘DAMN It’s a game!’ and it is, but think of the hobby or object you hold most dear and thats the game to some people. Now, he didn’t have to go smashing his stuff, but hell he now has a reason to go and UPGRADE! Comment by Britt — June 27, 2010 @ 4:44 pm

  182. Ok, was probably staged, but if not…

Ok, the guy over reacted, but imagine this, a guy is working on a hot rod, say a show car, and has been for years, he’s VERY close to getting it completed, but his girlfriend thinks he spends too much time on it and not enough on her. He goes to the parts store, and behind his back she lined up someone to buy it and haul it off that day, or worse, she later gives him a video of it being shredded.

    How would YOU react?

I’m willing to bet he does indeed have a job, as he had to get that computer somehow, probably not her with her attitude, and he seemed to be in good shape so he obviously gets out, and my guess is he went with her to do crap he really, REALLY didn’t want to do because he loved her, however he dare have a hobby of his own? Is he only supposed to sit at home and veg until SHE wants to do something?

At least his rage went at that monitor instead of a person.

As for those saying the guy just PLAYING WoW was wrong, well, you’d fail to see the irony that you likely found this via stumbleupon, even if it were pointed out.

I don’t play sports because I hate sports, I don’t work on cars as I don’t know jack about cars, I don’t do pottery, painting or woodworking as supplies get expensive. Gaming is a cheaper hobby than most of those. I also take care of fish, cook, clean, do dishes, take care of the lawn because my dad is away and my mom needs the help, so I admit I don’t have a job due to disability and because my mom needs the help. Should I just be expected to veg until my mom needs something, or do I nee to just be stressed because I do more than I really should have to?

Also, regardless of what she did, she deserves to be yelled at, not hit, or at least have one of HER hobbies wrecked, if she doesn’t think hobbies are for losers if this is real.

  186. Having only sampled the game, I don’t know the amount of time required to get those characters to their shown strength (gear included), so I can only make a really bad guess.

So lets guess it took him a year of playing for his first character, and about half a year for the other. 18 months x $15/month = $270.00 . He should be able to demand that she pay him for the money spent on the character, and she should be forced to pay it, without exceptions.

As for how to get the time and effort back. Can’t be done without really crossing a few boundaries that you can’t un-cross. She’s definitely not worth going to jail over, so it seems that all that time and concentration will have to be accepted as a loss. And considering how finite an individuals time is, that’s a pretty huge blow to their overall life.

    Comment by Toby — July 9, 2010 @ 12:30 am

  193. I was thinking the same thing as the first post… she was pretty quick with that navigation. How did she know how to delete individual items? Either she plays or she’s watched.

My second thought is that Blizzard should really put in a feature where instead of the user typing “DELETE” that the user inserts their password instead to avoid this. Granted, the girlfriend shouldn’t know the password for this but it’s better than just typing delete.

Third, yeah, the dude can get those characters back. It is upsetting but not enough to destroy my computer. That’s just going to hurt my budget. Of course, it’ll take a while to get them back but you get them back none-the-less.

And I hope she dumped him after this. He seems rather…. violent.

  195. I play WoW now, so I can understand the frustration that would come from someone deleting my characters. However, I used to HATE WoW. I was engaged to a guy who lived and breathed WoW and FF. I enjoy gaming just as much as anyone else, on a healthy level, but when he started preferring gaming to sex (which he previously very much enjoyed), it got to be pretty bad. I have never in my life met a man who would pick video games over sex. Needless to say, things didn’t end well there. So there’s a line between playing the game, and living the game. Regardless of the fact, whether or not he had them before they dated, or whatever, he should have paid more attention to her. But on the other hand, she should have dumped him (because at that point, talking doesn’t work), and moved on. Let him obsess over his level 80 mage. Oh, did I mention my ex was just as violent? Yeah, domestic violence is never good, and even lamer when it’s over video games.

We don’t know the reasons. She could just be Jealous but it could also be a matter of real concern like in this case where the Guy even ignores his baby.

    Comment by Ana — July 11, 2010 @ 11:38 am

  197. I’m disgusted by seeing this, and I personally hate the way that WoW can, for all intensive purposes, suck away hours upon hours of time. I have friends who play it, so I know what kind of time-frame that things like this can take place on, but really, this was a girl committing cyber-fraud by signing onto an account which wasn’t hers and maliciously deleting characters that aren’t hers to delete. Thank god for backups, but she deserves some real punishment for screwing up like that. If she feels neglected, she can easily step in while he’s playing and do something less drastic, or even better, leave the fuckwad instead. I’m playing both sides of the field here, the guy’s a fuckwad for spending more time on a video game than with his girlfriend, and she’s committing a felony that’s both on a state and federal level.

Sorry about the french, but really, if one has to stoop down to malicious intent, who’s the real culprit here?

    Comment by Alexei — July 12, 2010 @ 2:07 am

  198. What she did was pretty spiteful, but what scares me most is that people are actually condoning the violence he displayed in this video and would condone him assaulting her. As someone else mentioned, this is highly indicative of a sick mind.

If you EVER think it’s OK to hurt somebody, especially over something as petty as this, you need to see a therapist because you are mentally unhealthy.

@ Alexei: Good God, a felony?! I seriously doubt she would be prosecuted for any kind of felony over WoW. On the other hand, his display of violence and aggression IS considered domestic abuse and he could have been detained for that. You people are all twisted.

A man who is capable of that degree of violence shouldn’t be in a relationship with anybody – if it is real, that is.

“She’s damn lucky he didn’t kill her.” OVER WOW? Was this a serious comment? You think it would be NORMAL or you would EXPECT someone to murder over a video game? You need to see a professional, pronto!

    Comment by Andy — July 12, 2010 @ 8:01 pm

  199. Actually, there’s nothing wrong with violence against THINGS that you own. It is NOT considered domestic abuse to hit your own monitor.

We never see how they interact with each other. That may well have gotten the urge to hit something out of him. Most men are capable of that degree of violence. But capability isn’t relevant, the issue is one of control and the majority of us either control the impulse such that we do nothing, or channel it out in some non-destructive/hurtful fashion.

As for the rest… Well, we have no idea of his situation, he might be completely addicted or he might be a one night a week type person. The only thing this video shows is that she is twisted for destroying something that someone else has put their time and money into. And once he found out, he should definitely get rid of her, assuming she didn’t leave him immediately after doing this.

And for the first time in 10 years, that girl is going to get laid with her poor excuse of a boyfriend.

    @rowan:
“he clearly was neglecting his personal relationship with his girlfriend. But she was completely disrespectful to him and the amount of time, effort and cash he had devoted to his hobby. ”
-Call it an intervention; good thing she rec’d his reaction for that stupid f*ck to see himself in a drug rage once he’s thru with wow redrawal.
Besides, “disrespectful”??? The amount of time effort and cash dedicated to a kiddies game?!? Fecking kidding??? Dont call it a hobby, its an addiction! You can buy crack, weed, porn, booze or even a server account, its all the same shite.

  206. I’d watch the video but YouSlow can’t buffer more than a few seconds at a time and I don’t have all day. Does anybody know of a good video site (aka NOT YouTube) that hosts this video? Furthermore, why does ANYBODY post video on YouTube? I don’t see the point – nobody can watch it without waiting a half hour for a 2 minute video so why not choose another site?

Oh, and don’t blame this on my connection or my computer – both are more than adequate and YouSlow is the only site that constantly buffers – netflix, hulu, vimeo, etc all work fine.

  207. What a fucking retarded bitch. You can hear that little twang in her voice that just screams “I have no idea the gravity of what I’m about to do.” The only thing to be learned from this is “Never take out your rage on your valuable monitor when your girlfriend is in the house.” I would have tied that bitch to a chair behind me and make her watch me level up 3 new lvl 80s. There is no “Neglect” here, only PMS and a peanut in the head of that girl. My sympathy to the dude, hope you gave her what she deserved.

  210. I totally understand why this girl did it.. As a girlfriend of a gamer I too have been negelcted for raid nights (7 nights a week from 5pm to god who knows what time in the morning) OUr sex life has greatly been diminished, believe me there is no point in waiting up until 2 am for 5 minutes of sex that may or may not be lack luster. I too have thought about doing the same thing. But i also realise that this was a dick move. When I met my boyfriend I didn’t even know he played wow until 6 months in.. then 9 months he was playing 2 nights a week.. 11 months- 3 nights a week. 2 years in I eat dinner alone almost every night, I go to bed alone everynight, and I have sex alone all the time.. I honestly feel like am a single girl with a roommate.

  213. I have a WoW account. Though I haven’t played in a good few months. I can say though that what she did was wrong for server reasons. As some have said, he spent a lot of time making those toons most likely. He spent money on the game. You also grow fond of your characters to a extent as well, not so much as someone having a pet or something but you still do.

What she Should have done is pretty simple, if he is spending “to much time” on the game she should have talked with him first, not saying she didn’t she may have. If she did and it didn’t help she should have just broken up with him and not stuck around like a idiot, but then again most people are idiots like ones that stick with abusive partners and don’t leave them. Which also there is a good chance he is abusive now or will be ‘if he doesn’t kill her when he finds out’ later on in their relationship

What his reaction should have been. Raging on the poor computer like a fucking ‘excuse my language’ idiot was… well idiotic. If he has that many 80s he should know that Blizzard would give back his chars and his stuff within a week or 2 maybe a Month at most.. which when I got hacked it only took 2 weeks, they vendered, auctioned off and deleted chars. So yea hes stupid.

So what I’m trying to say here is kids… don’t be a douche and talk… honesty is a VERY important thing for others and yourself.

  218. That’s the exact reason I don’t play WOW. It’s worse then heroine in terms of addictiveness. Sure what she did was fucked up, but only the 2 people in the video know the real story. Maybe he was ignoring her for weeks on end to play WOW. Maybe she’s just a sadistic bitch.

Either way this video almost wasn’t worth watching. I thought I was going to see him kick that girl in the head or something. I was starting to become disappointed when I saw nothing happen after 4 and a half minutes.

When I realized the video was almost over I thought “He better fucking break something before I finish this sent… Cool.”

  220. I have never played WoW, but I can see how it consumes one’s time, what his girlfriend did to him was an awful way to go about getting him to stop playing. The guy, on the other hand probably spent too much time on the game anyway. Nobody should have gotten hurt. It was all a painful and destructive way to get attention. She didn’t sound too nice either, she was probably just an aggressive control freak.

    Comment by LW — July 27, 2010 @ 2:05 am

  227. Typical, that everyone should realize World of WarCraft is indeed a time-consuming video game. The worst invented MMORPG in history, but to be honest, any MMORPG is strictly time-consuming and cash-hogger. No matter what features it has, you will be paying.

Respectful to gaming as I am, Blizzards idea of purchasing WOW (The CD and Game itself) and the paying a monthly bill to play online is just retarded to begin with. Now, I don’t play MMORPGS, and If i do, It would last the attention span of an ape. Give me 1 week and im tired of it. If I need to make friends online, I rather play a cooperative game or RTS. Not some endless piece of crap like WOW.

Now if my girlfriend has attempted to delete my games, she would fail epically anyway. Not for MMORPGS, she can delete those, I encourage it actually. However, normal games, single player or multiplayer with storyline based aspects. She would fail hard. First, I got extra harddrives to backup, encrypted password protection. So even if she manages to delete 2 hours of download time. I consider it nothing. Its not like I can wait 2 hours to restore a game. ;)

Lost all of your characters ? So what ? What’s the big deal ? A painless half an hour or even less if lucky wait for a GM response and a “Hey, another person got onto my account when I wasn’t present and thought it would be funny to delete my characters, can you restore them for me ?” and hey! They’re back!

If you so fail at human communication you look at your characters being deleted as days of needing to re-grind rather than an hour long process discussing the matter with a GM then it’s your own bloody fault that it’s such a big deal.
