The reaction to Green Lantern footage shown at the San Diego Comic-Con seems to be quite mixed, with some people giving it the thumbs up while others saying it was a fail.
No footage from Green Lantern is online as of yet, but Warner Bros has released four character posters from the film, which you can see here below.
The posters feature the film stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan (who becomes Green Lantern), Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Mark Strong as Sinestro, and Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond, with each poster containing a part from the first half of the Green Lantern Oath.
When the first two posters of Hal Jordan are put together, it forms the green-rimmed Green Lantern insignia; when the other two posters of villains Sinestro and Hammond are put together, the insignia forms again, but this time the rim is tinged with yellow on Hammond’s side.
The color yellow is significant because the Green Lantern power ring was traditionally useless against the color yellow, and yellow is also associated with Parallax, the embodiment of fear, a character that Reynolds confirmed this weekend would appear in the film. Yellow appears on Hammond’s portion because reportedly in the film, Hammond is exposed to Parallax.
