New Movies This Week: Which Will You Go See? [August 20, 2010]

Dave3   |

Piranha 3DSince it’s going to be the movie subject of this week’s Flix of Doom podcast, the majority of the Doom crew will be heading out in full force to see Piranha 3D tonight.

Which movie will you go see this weekend?

The Switch, a rom-com starring Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, and a turkey baster filled with… something.

Piranha 3D, a campy reimagining of the Roger Corman b-horror classic, containing a plethora of 3D blood and boobs.

Vampires Suck, a facetious Twilight-esque farce that’s sure to live up to its own name?

Nanny McPhee Return, Emma Thompson is back in the ugly mask and bent on doing some Victorian-style good.

Lottery Ticket, where not-so-little Bow Wow strikes it rich and has to dodge the entire cast of Next Friday to claim his winnings?

Which of these movies is on your radar. Or maybe you’d rather see a previously released movie? Or maybe you’d rather stay home? Let us know in the comments section here below.

    PIRANHA 3D!

  • Kyle

SCOTT PILGRIM v THE WORLD and/or INCEPTION! Best movies of the summer (possibly the year)

Just got back from the theater. PIRANHA 3D was a damn fun movie! Great use of guts. gore, boobs, 3D and Elisabeth Shue. She’s my hero!

PIRANHA 3D was great! It was my first choice for this week. I’ll probably catch The Switch on DVD mainly for Jason Bateman; same with Lottery Ticket, because it’s probably a cute movie, though not enough for me to go out and see it in the theater. I liked the first Nanny McPhee, but unless I have a kid to bring (and I don’t), I’ll wait for DVD also. I have zero interest in Vampires Suck.

PIRANHA 3D is great in the same way that a bowl of fresh kettle corn, a birch beer and a sack of Nutter Butters is great. Yeah. I said it.

    The Expendables Again.

I’ve seen all of these with the exception of Nanny McPhee Returns but I’d probably rather see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World again.

I think had I not really been looking forward to Piranha, I would have opted to see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World again too. I might just do that next week.

To be honest with you guys Nanny McPhee Returns was the best movie of the week, and honestly that was my second to last anticipated movie. The only thing I wanted to see less than it was Vampires Suck but it actually surprised me. I would say if you don’t want to see Nanny McPhee than see Scott Pilgrim so that we can stop hearing that it is a failure. Just what I think though.

Eat, Pray, Love…but I really wanna go see Piranha 3D. Who wouldn’t?

  • Fierste

Not great choices so I will probably stay home and wait for dvd on some of these.

  • Slipstream

If I were going to the theaters, it would be Inception again. That, Scott Pilgrim, Toy Story 3 and Book of Eli were my favorites of the year.

Of this week, Piranha 3D is the only one I have any interest in seeing. Ever.
