Must Play: Tribute Flash Game Based On Tommy Wiseau’s ‘The Room’

The Movie God   |

If you’ve ever seen Tommy Wiseau‘s now legendary cult classic, The Room, then this post is for you. The movie, for those who are unaware, is easily the worst movie ever made. Seriously, in the history of cinema, nothing even comes close…not even Troll 2, some might argue. Your mind is blown over and over and over at what you’re seeing, and you sometimes can’t even help but wonder if this is real. Wiseau himself has even said it was meant to be like that, but deep down we all have trouble believing that.

Even so, the movie has an amazing fan base who find so much to love in all of its failings. There’s something so immensely entertaining about the movie, the story, the characters, and all of the random things they do and say for no reason whatsoever. The Room has special screenings where fans flock to scream and react to certain scenes, there’s countless drinking games at the click of a Google search, and the joy just never really ends.

To that, we can add one more delight to the pile. Tom Fulp, creator of the fantastic time-killing website, Newgrounds, has now created the end-all be-all of flash game nirvana.

The game, simply called The Room Tribute, allows the player to become the man himself, Johnny (Oh, hai Tommy Wiseau!), as he goes on the epic adventure we all saw in the movie. You’ll buy a dress for the lovely Lisa, you’ll play football with Denny and Mark, you’ll go to work at the bank, you’ll make a sandwich, and even shower after a romantic evening.

This may sound boring to you outcasts who have not witnessed the glorious work of art they call The Room, but for those of you who know what I’m talking about, it might just be single handedly the greatest game ever conceived, constructed, and unleashed on the planet. It took me a couple of hours to play through it, but once I started I couldn’t stop.

If you haven’t seen The Room, do find a way to get your hands on it as soon as possible. Drink heavily. Then press “play” and see the light. After that, you will then be able to play for yourselves.

I must warn you all, there is a whole lot of cartoon nudity going on here, so if that bothers you for some strange reason, do avoid. For the rest of you, you can here RIGHT HERE to play the game immediately.
