After the end of LOST, which still has many of us in a deep depression, it was joked that stars Michael Emerson (Benjamin Linus) and Terry O’Quinn (John Locke) should get a show together. That joke was a little more than a joke, and it was recently revealed that producer J.J. Abrams was revving up to pitch a brand new show featuring Emerson and O’Quinn to networks.

Apparently the pitch was well-received, with news now that NBC has won a bidding war — which did include Lost network ABC coming close — landing them the series. Not many details have been revealed about the show, which is currently being called Odd Jobs, but it is said to feature the two actors as former special ops agents. Maybe something along the lines of the movie Red, with retired agents still doing jobs on the side?

Reports indicate that NBC has made a big commitment on the pilot episode, and that the show will be made via Warner Brothers TV and of course, Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions. Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, who co-created the show Life on Mars and have worked with Abrams in the past on Alias, are handling scripting duties.

No word yet on when we might catch a peek at Odd Jobs, but the project will no doubt garner much attention from fans of Lost who want to see what this duo can do in an entirely different world.
