We here at Geeks of Doom have been shivering with anticipation for Fallout: New Vegas for a while now, as many video game fans have been. Now the game is finally here, set to hit stores tomorrow, where multitudes of eager hands will be waiting to grab hold of it and run home to revisit the Wastelands they love so much.
To keep fans excited along the way, a collection of Developer Diary featurettes have been released touching on many aspects of the game we can expect to see. These are perfect to help you get even more excited about New Vegas than you already were. You’ll get a look at locations, lots of new weapons, and how the story is set up, among many other things.
Throw on your Sunday best vault jumpsuit and grab a few Stimpacks before heading below to see six fantastic developer diaries for Fallout: New Vegas!
The game is the sequel to 2008′s Fallout 3, which completely reinvented the Fallout world, instantly making it one of the best games ever made. Bethesda Softworks, who developed the previous installment and set the bar incredibly high, will publish this new game, which is being developed this time around by Obsidian Entertainment. Obsidian is the perfect team to take on the game, as they’re responsible for creating the first two titles in the series, and building from the foundation that Bethesda laid out can only mean very good things for us.
Let’s just say that the only way I could be more excited for a video game, would be if I found out another long-awaited Bethesda sequel was on the way: The Elder Scrolls V. These are games that don’t just allow you play through a story, they allow you to enter a world and live a life, and that’s so hard to top.
I recommend you watch all of these — they’re all really entertaining to see — but the sixth and final diary is can’t-miss. That one shows off a little portion of the characters in the game and the actors voicing them, such as Ron Perlman, Matthew Perry, William Sadler, Wayne Newton, and Kris Kristofferson.
Again, Fallout: New Vegas hits stores TOMORROW, so be sure not to miss it!
