The t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel today is an A Clockwork Orange-inspired shirt called “Real Horror Show.”
The tee, by artist D4N13L, is on sale at RIPT only for today, Sunday January 2, 2011 until tonight at midnight CST. Once the time is up, the shirt will no longer be available at the site.
The t-shirt is available in both men’s and women’s sizes in Gray for $10. Kids sizes are $15 (Boys, Girls & Toddlers in Orange); Onesies are $18 (in Gray). You can also get the design on a Hoodie for $38 (in Men/Unisex sizes in Gray).
The design is inspired by the iconic poster art for the 1971 film A Clockwork Orange, which starred Malcolm McDowell as the lead character Alex. One of Alex’s sayings was “real horror show.”
This is a great design, although I think it’d have looked better on an orange shirt (as seen on the Kid’s version), rather than gray. Also, I’d like to meet the person who buys their kids this shirt; for that matter, the person who puts the onesie on their baby, that would be interesting. In case you don’t know, the movie is not for the faint of heart.
This artist always churns out really good stuff (his designs for Army of Darkness and Doctor Who were recently featured). You can see his other available shirts on his Red Bubble page (shirts are regular price there, though there’s more selection of shirt color; actually “Real Horror Show” can be bought in orange and other colors there at the price of $25.94).
