Take A Look: Best Shot Of Chris Evans As Captain America Yet!

The Movie God   |

We’ve seen a few peeks at the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Captain America: The First Avenger, including some Geeks of Doom exclusive shots from the set, but little has been seen of the Captain himself.

We’ve seen star Chris Evans in normal clothes and we’ve gotten a few teases of his World War II look, but a brand new image making its way around may be the best one yet.

Entertainment Weekly has yet another shot of Evans as Captain America, this time wearing a nice helmet, holding his shield, and standing in front of some intimidating gentlemen.

You can click on over to the other side to check out the image now, and again, don’t forget this is set during WWII for the majority of the film. Don’t expect to see some fancy modernized Captain America get-up…yet.

The tech looks way too modern, but sure looks cool.

I can say I really get less interested in this as the days go on. From cast choice, director choice, to Evans saying it is based on a Boy Scout friend of his, to the trailer they said they would show – then pulled it fast saying it didn’t look good, now to the suit itself. This scene looks like it was pulled from the recent GI Joe movie. The two guys behind him look way to modernized to be in this film. I actually think everything looks way to modern already – you are telling us not to expect anything to modern? Already beyond that. I am not interested in any of it as of yet. They will have to show me something besides Evans in this ridiculous getup.

Eh…not so excited about this Marvel movie. I don’t really like the Red Skull, don’t think Nazi’s make interesting enough villains and in general, Captain America never captured my imagination. I get the symbolism and what he represents but as a hero, he’s always seemed dated in my opinion. Last thing I want to see is a period piece or an origin story.

capt america was never really interesting until the whole winter soldier thing, but hopefully this movie appeals to kids, id hate to see a bad monetary showing kill the avengers franchise
