The t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel is the Helly Kitty-inspired zombie mash-up “Sanrio – The Zombie Resurrection.”

The tee, by artist Chad Tibbits, went on sale at RIPT today, Monday, January 24, 2011, at midnight CST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

The design is a zombified version of the Sanrio superstar Hello Kitty holding the decapitated zombie head of the black cat Chococat, another Sanrio character.

The t-shirt is available in men’s and women’s sizes for $10 each in teal blue. Kids sizes are $15 (Boys, Girls, and Toddler in varying shades of blue); Onesies are $18 (in powder blue). You can also get the design on a Hoodie for $38 (in Men/Unisex sizes in blue).

My fiancée is a pretty big Hello Kitty/Sanrio fan, so needless to say there is a pretty large collection of Sanrio stuff around our apartment at all times. Needless to say with the constant reminder of how cute and cuddly Hello Kitty and all the Sanrio characters are I decided to give them a touch of not so cute.
