The Man This EmceeOn Tuesday, May 17th, “The Internet’s foremost comic book rapper” Adam WarRock will release his highly anticipated follow-up EP, This Man… This Emcee!, to the critically acclaimed debut album The War For Infinity. The album features production from Dale Chase, and includes nerdcore guests Dual Core and Beefy. The upcoming album features the Free Comic Book Day single, “Marvel vs. DC,” which is easily one of my favorite showings from the up and coming geek-influenced emcee.

If the idea of music about comics seems cool to you, then Adam WarRock is your man. I’ve been a fan of his since I heard the original War Rocket Ajax theme song a couple of years ago, and he’s only gotten better. Adam WarRock continues to grow as an artist with each release, and after hearing “Marvel vs. DC,” it seems that this EP will be no exception, so needless to say, I’m ecstatic over this news.

Readers of Geeks of Doom, and listeners of Comics of Doom, should be familiar with the comic book rapper as we’ve given him praise and invited him on the show as a guest interview/host for an episode, but if you have yet to listen to The Infinity Gauntlet-inspired The War For Infinity, make sure to check it out. Posted below is a copy of the press release so you can check out all the details, including news of an of upcoming gig!

Adam WarRock, the Internet’s foremost comic book nerdcore rapper, releases a new EP, This Man…This Emcee!, on May 17.

The songs featured on his website have appeared everywhere from sites like Slashfilm to the pages of John Layman and Rob Guillory’s Chew. Recently, Adam WarRock completed a California leg of his tour, performing at the famous Meltdown Comics as part of the inaugural month of Nerdist @ Meltdown, a showcase of comedy and music put on by Chris Hardwick and Nerdist.com.

On May 19, Adam WarRock will be performing at Littlefield in Brooklyn, NY, with The Ampersands, cartoonist Michael Kupperman, and comedian Dan St. Germain to celebrate the release of the EP. More information on that show can be found at www.littlefieldnyc.com.
