First Image From Ridley Scott’s ‘Alien’ Prequel ‘Prometheus’ Released

To go along with the many details touched on during the San Diego Comic–Con panel for director Ridley Scott‘s upcoming Alien prequel, Prometheus, the first official image from the movie has been released online to the masses.
The image doesn’t show a whole lot, but you will see an that dark Alien outer space and an astronaut navigating their way through a gravity–less area.

The movie stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, and Idris Elba. It’s currently set for release on June 8, 2012.
