Watch Now: Final Scene Of ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ With ‘Avengers’ Teaser

Empress Eve   |

Marvel's The Avengers

The final scene of Captain America: The First Avenger, which includes a super-short teaser for The Avengers film, has officially been released online.

Watch the 48-second clip here below.

Obviously, if you haven’t seen Captain America: The First Avenger, you should probably wait on watching this video, as it does contain the very ending of that movie. Also, the teaser for The Avengers you’ll see in this online version is actually a teaser of the teaser that was shown in theaters and shows quick glimpses of the film, mostly focused on the Thor character (played by Chris Hemsworth).

Filming began back in April on the Joss Whedon-directed The Avengers, which sees Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Evans reprising their respective roles as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Thor, and Steve Rogers/Captain America, along with Mark Ruffalo taking over the role of The Hulk. will be The Avengers released in theaters on May 4, 2012.

While I love a good tease, I think it’s very odd to release the end of a movie that’s been out in theaters for a week basically to show an ad for another movie. I know Marvel is banking a lot on The Avengers movie, but this seems over-the-top. Couldn’t they just wait another week or so and then put the full Avengers teaser up? I highly doubt anyone will go see Captain America JUST so that they can watch the in-theaters-only full teaser for The Avengers (a low quality bootleg of which already made its way online last week anyhow). Anyone waiting on The Avengers will surely have seen Captain America (as well as Thor, and for that matter, Iron Man 2, which was pretty much ALL set-up for The Avengers).
