Excited for Battleship? I mean, how couldn’t you be? A horrible cast (save for one Liam Neeson), a mediocre director at the helm, and what can best be described as a dreadful trailer all have been shared in the same breath as the title of this film, and have since sent this movie down the ladder of most anticipated projects coming down the pipeline.
Well, thanks to Entertainment Tonight, we have a new set video for the film, and I must say, it doesn’t do much for me.
The film seems to blend things like Armageddon and, well, any other Michael Bay movie into one weirdly uninteresting blender, and creates a really sloppy looking film. I’m not a huge fan of director Peter Berg, but hey, if this film can really give us the over the top action that we frankly want from a project like this, I’ll more than happily bite.
What do you think?

Peter Berg is a fine director. Â The Kingdom was fantastic and the pitfalls of Hancock were in the writing not in the execution. Â I think Battleship will live and die by the quality of it’s script. The SFX look great, so at least it has that going for it.
