After the events of Fear Itself the Avengers are decimated and Captain America is left to rebuild the team once again (yes it has been that long since Avengers Disassembled). Next month in Avengers #18 Cap begins to do just that and it all will come to life on the page and iPad screen thanks to a new artist: Daniel Acuña. Acuña and writer Brian Michael Bendis have worked together in the past, but this series will be their biggest team up yet.
“Every time Daniel and I have worked together it has been a really fantastic experience and everyone loved it,” said Bendis. “The only thing we have never done before is hunker down and make a real run of things together. So here we go!”

Aside from being the best, most charismatic team in comics – they always fight the biggest, meanest, and most powerful villains. All that, plus Captain America leading the team… what more can I ask for?!”
In Avengers #18 Cap will be building his new Avengers at the same time as Norman Osborne prepares to make a comeback of his own with his new Dark Avengers team. Let’s hope Captain America brings us a new team that doesn’t include Spider-Man and Wolverine. We’ve seen those boys around Avengers HQ enough haven’t we?
