Noire, which they published for Team Bondi, has been hard at work on Grand Theft Auto V, the follow-up to 2008′s record-shattering hit, GTA IV.

It’s always a little difficult for me to write a review on something where I feel a little emotionally attached. For those who haven’t been paying attention to this site, we’ve covered Key of Z pretty much since its inception when we interviewed both Claudio Sanchez and Chondra Echert at last year’s New York Comic-Con when it was still known as Subway Seriez up to this past month when we interviewed the writers again to revisit the series and see what else was coming up. They’ve always been super generous, kind, and open to me. So, that makes viewing the comic objectively extremely hard. It’s because of this, and the fact that Sanchez’s band Coheed and Cambria is my favorite band of all time, that I am extremely hard on their books when I read them. That said, I adored the team’s previous work Kill Audio and I love Key of Z #1 [...]

Less than three weeks after the death of Steve Jobs a biography of the late digital media pioneer and co-founder of Apple and Pixar Animation written by former CNN chairman and Time magazine managing editor Walter Isaacson has been released.

These are two comic creators whose names create instant excitement when attached to a new project, especially when they are on the same book, as they are with their new series from DC/Vertigo, which launches this week with Spaceman #1. Azzarello and Risso are the team that brought us a landmark run with their series 100 Bullets. They were also the team for possibly the best thing to come out of DC’s Flashpoint event, with their Batman: Knight of Vengeance mini-series. So, when they start a new project, it’s easy to get me and many other comics fans excited. It’s a good thing then that Spaceman is very good, because you do not want to see a bunch of fanboys get pissed off when things don’t live up to their expectations [...]

Popular Adult Swim stop-motion comedy Robot Chicken will be doing a very special episode dedicated to the comic book characters of DC Comics, and they’ve released a brand new clip from the special entitled “Give It Up, Sinestro” which you can watch here below.

In this clip, we see an altercation between The Green Lantern Hal Jordan and his ultimate rival Sinestro. In the battle, Sinestro goes a bit too far and cuts off the hands of protector of space sector 2814. Handless, Jordan returns to the guardian planet where he is granted a new ring, and I gotta say, it’s not the kind of ring I was expecting [...]

I’ve never been a fan of the Harry Potter franchise, but this news grates my nerves. Warner Bros., the studio that has banked more than $12 billion thanks to J.K. Rowling‘s world of wizards and wonder, has announced that they are pulling all eight of the Harry Potter movies out of circulation as of December 29, 2011. That means once store inventory runs out, they won’t be restocked.

The films will still be available in digital formats and the video games based on the series will remain for sale [...]

The History Channel will premiere Zombies: A Living History tonight, October 25, 2011, at 8pm.

The two-hour documentary will explore the origins of zombie myths and lore, from the Viking Age to the Black Death in Europe, both of which spawned legends of the dead walking the earth, and all the way up to the present day fears of a zombie apocalypse.

Bethesda Softworks has released a brand new trailer for their long-awaited epic RPG adventure title, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. But unlike the many other trailers and videos released for the game, this one is of the live-action variety.

The trailer is brief, showing a dragon (one of the huge new additions to this new game) attacking as helpless people run for their lives before our hero Dovahkiin, Dragonborn, shows up. [...]

Everyone has those movies they have a certain kind of special attachment to—movies that moved them, that struck an emotional chord, and left a lasting imprint.

For me, one of those movies was 2006′s Once, which tells the story of musician known only as “Guy” who works at his dad’s vacuum repair shop and makes a little extra coin by singing his songs on the streets of Ireland, and the young Czech girl he meets one day (fittingly dubbed “Girl”) who sells flowers and is also a musician. The two form a strong bond through their music and common troubles they have with former lovers, but, as they go on to collaborate on some incredible music together, each is unsure what it is they want in life and for their futures. Geeks of Doom was lucky enough to grab some screen time with Batman: Arkham City director Sefton Hill for a one-on-one video interview during last weekend’s New York Comic-Con.

Talk about a way to make your debut behind the camera.

With his directorial debut, Elvis & Nixon, moving forward, the cast is being set for Cary Elwes‘ film, and according to THR, it’s gotten quite interesting. Danny Huston is in talks to play the president who’s last name plays the latter part of that title, and for the former, who better than Eric Bana? Bana has signed on to play Elvis Presley in the film, which will focus on the icon’s visit to the White House on December 21, 1970 [...]
