The biggest money laundering job of Jeff Sinclair’s career is a go, but there are a few problems keeping the job from going as smoothly as planned.

In The Rinse #2, professional money launderer Jeff Sinclair is working the biggest job of his career. He gets offered a job by a former casino employee to take care of some money that was stolen from a wealthy casino tycoon by the name of Steve Maxon. When the casino tycoon comes looking for the guy who stole his money, Jeff is thrown into a world of trouble. On top of Maxon’s goons looking for Jeff, the IRS has launched a full-fledged investigation and Jeff Sinclair is in their sights.

I’m a huge fan of crime comics. I tend to try new comics to see what different creative teams can do with the genre. I picked up the first issue of The Rinse mainly because of the price. It was only $1. I really enjoyed what that first issue brought to the table. With the second issue, more of the players in this story are being set up. Not much happens in this second issue but it seems to be a good set up for a story that will get pretty crazy.

The story by writer Gary Phillips was fun, interesting, and definitely the type of story that I like to read when it comes to crime comics. The art by Marc Laming was some of the best art I’ve seen in a crime comic in a long time. The colors by Darrin Moore add to the depth of the art and make the art look even more beautiful.

Overall, I really enjoyed The Rinse #2. It definitely delivers on what a crime story should offer. If you’re a fan of the crime genre, then definitely check this one out.
