 |
Posted by Empress Eve | December 13th, 2011 at 11:23 pm |

I saw this artwork by DeviantArt user Kinjamin of the cast of the NBC sitcom Community as Batman villains and thought, hey, pretty cool.
So, I emailed the link to our Batman expert MK2FAC3 figuring he’ll dig it and maybe want to write something up about it. His response was “Something about this kinda makes me want to kill something.” I think it had something to do with the Batman Returns catsuit, it made him see red [...]

Comic Review: The Occultist #2
 |
Posted by PS Hayes | December 13th, 2011 at 6:00 pm |

Occultist #2
Story by Mike Richardson & Tim Seeley
Script by Tim Seeley
Art by Victor Drujiniu
Colors by Andrew Dalhouse
Letters by Nate Peikos of Blambot
Cover by Steve Morris
Dark Horse Comics
Release Date: December 14th, 2011
Cover Price: $3.50
The Occultist #2 is wall to wall action. It gets going on the first page and doesn’t stop until the last. Unfortunately, I was left a little confused by the issue.
While I read and enjoyed the first issue, this issue would’ve benefited greatly by some introduction of the characters as you go footnotes or panels. There’s a lot of characters in this book, and it’s very hard to keep track of them at some points in the issue [...]

Bradley Cooper and Alex Proyas’ ‘Paradise Lost’ Gets Delayed
 |
Posted by Cinemumra | December 13th, 2011 at 3:13 pm |

While any and all tentpole projects can get a fair bit of funding, it’s the more intriguing pieces that appear to be getting the bad end of their respective deals.
The latest project to get delayed is, according to Deadline, Legendary Pictures’ upcoming film, Paradise Lost.
Helmed by Alex Proyas, the film is set to star Bradley Cooper, Djimon Honsou, Casey Affleck, Camilla Belle, and Callan McAuliffe, and will obviously be based on the John Milton poem, which follows the story of “the battle between good and evil.” [...]

‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3′ Sets Yet Another Record With $1 Billion Mark

When James Cameron’s Avatar took movie theaters by storm, obliterating every record in sight including the seemingly untouchable $600 million mark set by another Cameron movie, Titanic, very few people thought a day would soon come where that new record fell.
Shockingly, though no movie has or likely will come close for a long time, it’s a video game that has nudged its way into Avatar‘s personal record bubble. Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has reached $1 billion, and it has done so in only 16 days. That tops Avatar, which pulled it off in 17 days. [...]

Imagine if you will, all of Shakespeare’s creations brought to life and populating one world, interacting with one another and thinking of him as their (rightfully so) creator.
