‘Piranha 3D’ Director Alexandre Aja Bringing Joe Hill’s ‘Horns’ to the Big Screen

Joe Hill has certainly come a long way since he was torturing his on-screen father (played by Tom Atkins) via voodoo doll in the classic 1982 horror anthology Creepshow, which was partly willed into existence by Hill’s real-life father, Stephen King. In 2005, Hill followed in his father’s footsteps and became a best-selling author with the short story collection 20th Century Ghosts, his first book published after spending previous years writing stories for various literary magazines. Two years later, Hill published his first full-length novel Heart-Shaped Box and early last year he released his second novel, the horror-tinged, Gothic crime tale Horns. Now Horns is about to become a bonafide motion picture with a noted horror filmmaker at the helm [...]

The Doctor Who TARDISblend 46: Commentary Edition for ‘The Doctor’s Wife’
 |
Posted by cGt2099 | December 9th, 2011 at 12:27 pm |

This edition of the TARDISblend is a special one: a commentary track we’ve recorded for one of the episodes from Doctor Who Series 6. Arguably one of the best of the season, the Neil Gaiman-penned The Doctor’s Wife, is what we focus on for this edition. Joining us for the commentary are Jay Fowler, Andy Sorcini, and Anthony Ha.
The commentary sequencing is very simple. Cue up your version of The Doctor’s Wife, press play on the podcast. After the mini-intro, you’ll hear a sequence of four beeps. On the fourth beep, resume the playing of The Doctor’s Wife with the volume down low. We hope you enjoy it! [...]

The remake has laid claim to the April 12, 2013 date for Evil Dead, though, as has become very common, that could be changed in the future. [...]

Ready For More ‘Saw’ Movies Yet? Lionsgate Might Be

It feels like just yesterday that we were hearing that Saw 3D would be the final movie in the Saw franchise, and we all collectively laughed and laughed knowing it was about as far from the truth as could be.
See, the plain and simple fact is that as much as people complain about the unoriginality of Hollywood, more people pay their hard-earned coin to see the sequels and remakes and reboots we all despise so much than most anything else. [...]
