Now, I’m not quite sure how, but more on that later. Avengers Vs. X-Men will be a bi-weekly, six-month comic coming in at a total of 12 issues and features some of the biggest names in comics [...]

James Newton Howard Taking Over Scoring Duties For ‘The Hunger Games’ From Danny Elfman
 |
Posted by Cinemumra | December 6th, 2011 at 11:02 pm |

Despite seemingly moving forward swimmingly, behind the scenes, the music side of the impending Hunger Games feature film appears to be a bit more troubled.
Variety is reporting that James Newton Howard will be taking over scoring duties on the film from composer Danny Elfman. Elfman was originally slated to team with T. Bone Burnett [odd as hell], but due to scheduling issues, that has now officially changed [...]

Posted by Cinemumra | December 6th, 2011 at 10:12 pm |

This sucker can’t find any momentum.
Following the departure of potential directors Kenneth Branagh and Brian Kirk, Deadline is reporting that Patty Jenkins is also now leaving Thor 2, leaving the project without a helmer.
Apparently, the Monster still has the potential to be working on another Marvel project, just “not on a sequel,” at least according to the story [...]

‘Watchmen’ Writer Alan Moore Set To Occupy Comics After Spat With Frank Miller

A bit of a conflict has developed between highly regarded comic book creators Alan Moore (Watchmen, V For Vendetta) and Frank Miller (Sin City, 300). Instead of having opposing perspectives on something comic book related, however, the two are fired up over something a little more political in nature: the Occupy Wall Street movement.
It began back in November, when Miller had what could be considered to be some rather blunt words for the many protesters who are currently occupying Wall Street in hopes of standing up against corporate greed and corruption, and making it more visible to the unaware. [...]

Introducing The ‘South Park’ RPG From ‘Fallout: New Vegas’ Developer Obsidian Entertainment

For those of you who have yet to hear, a brand new South Park video game is currently being developed titled South Park: The Game.
Most people will scoff at such news, knowing full well that almost all games based on movies or TV shows or animated series are usually just made to make money off of the property, and are all but guaranteed to suck horribly. But this game…this game is different. Or so it feels. [...]

Transformers #31
Story by Mike Costa

Colors by Joana LaFuente
Letters by Neil Uyetake
Covers by Rik Alvarez, Casey Coller, and Trevor Hutchison
IDW Publishing
Release Date: December 7th, 2011
Cover Price: $3.99
Transformers #31 was a very different change of pace issue. A nice retrospective on the Transformers legacy and at the same time, a nice story in its own right.
Mike Costa crafts a sentimental tale of reflection set millions of years in the future. Long gone are most of the Transformers that we know and love, except for a couple, and they spend the issue reminiscing about the days and battles gone by. This issue is a heartwarming, feel good tale of the history of the Autobots and Decepticons and their greatest battles [...]

Motley Crue Become The First Hard Rock Group To Hold Residency In Las Vegas

“I don’t know about you, but when I think of Mötley Crüe I think of filthy sex, drugs, a REALLY big show, and way too much fun…sounds like Las Vegas doesn’t it? A match made in heaven!”
So say Tommy Lee, the longtime drummer for the ’80s hair rock quartet Mötley Crüe. Last Thursday the band appeared on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight and confirmed the rumor that they were about to become the first hard rock group to hold a residency in Las Vegas.
You can check out a trailer for the event Mötley Crüe in Sin City here below. [...]

’24′ Movie With Kiefer Sutherland Might Start Filming By Next Spring

Rumblings of a movie based on the hit FOX TV drama, 24, have come and gone from time to time, but not a whole lot of movement has occurred. Now it appears speeds are picking up quickly with sources indicating that 20th Century Fox and Imagine Entertainment hope to begin production by next spring when star Kiefer Sutherland becomes available.
The studio is expecting a script from screenwriter Mark Bomback by the end of the year, and they’ve reportedly narrowed down their director search to five possible (and currently unnamed) candidates. [...]

Watch What Happens When ‘Beetlejuice’ Is Said 3 Times On ‘Community’

I think it’s safe to say that NBC’s Community is an awesome show and is definitely one of the best sitcoms to come out in recent years, which makes the fact that the network yanked the show from its Winter 2012 so disappointing.
While there’s already tons to love about the series, now there’s one more reason: The showrunners managed to slip the name “Beetlejuice” into three episodes and we all know what happens when you say “Beetlejuice” three times, right?
Watch the video here below to see what happened on Community [...]

Bradley Cooper Says ‘The Hangover 3′ Could Be Filming By September, Set In L.A.

At the moment, The Hangover: Part III is not officially happening yet. But considering the amount of money the first two installments made ($467.4 million and $581.4 million worldwide, respectively) and word from director Todd Phillips and now star Bradley Cooper, it’s no great stretch to assume we’re getting at least one more Hangover.
Phillips is currently working on a script for the trilogy-maker, and, according to Cooper, the hope is that filming can begin by September. [...]
