We’ve all seen them before: videos of people who synchronized their Christmas lights and decorations to blink to the beat of their favorite songs. This book is amazing! Every month when I read G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero it makes me feel like I’m reading a back issue of Marvel‘s G.I. Joe that I hadn’t read before except without the occasional appearance of a Spider-Man parade balloon or a guy dressed up in a Hulk costume.

Author Larry Hama tells three seperate stories going on in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #173. One, I found REALLY interesting, the next entertaining, and the third, honestly, I didn’t care for very much. And unfortunately, the third story gets the most pages. If you’re a fan of the HBO comedies Hung, Bored to Death, or How To Make It In America, then you’re about to have a very bad day as HBO has decided to cancel all three of them. If you’re a fan of the new show Enlightened, on the other hand, you can rejoice as a second season has been ordered.

I swear to God, it’s like we get a new, awesome Ghostbusters movie every month! And Ghostbusters #4 is no exception. This month the boys in gray are up against the third minion of Gozer, and there’s only one person that can save the day!

I’m calling Erik Burnham out right now! I don’t understand how he can turn out such a high caliber book every month and not be writing more comics. I’m guessing that Burnham puked in the punch bowl at a Marvel/DC Christmas party at some point, thereby banishing his awesomeness from either of those companies. But, back to this issue [...]

It’s been a while since I’ve been this excited about comics, because we’ve got a lot of comics coming out this week that have the potential of being some of the finest of the year. We’ve got the return of Batman Incorporated with two of the best artists working in the business, we get the crazy brought to us by Neal Adams in his Batman Odyssey mini-series, as well as many other titles like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Scott Snyder’s Batman, Mark Waid’s Daredevil, Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang’s Wonder Woman, Jason Aaron’s Puninshermax, and many other excellent comics. In fact, some of the finest DC Relaunch titles are coming out this week. But there’s no way we could fit all of this awesome into one small list, so what we’ve done is condensed it, much like milk, and unloaded what we consider to be the comics that will blow us out of the water the hardest.
