Star Wars Image Shows Just How Commercial Things Have Gotten On Tatooine
Empress Eve   |

Tatooine

No one seems to know the original source of the above photo, but I think we can all agree, it’s pretty awesome.

Captioned “The commercial side of Tatooine,” the image shows a Sandcrawler on a populated beach on the desert planet of Tatooine.

Sandcrawlers are vehicles in the Star Wars films used by the Jawas to transport droids they find and sell, like C-3PO and R2-D2. The Jawas live on Tatooine — that’s where Luke Skywalker grew up and then later faced Jabba the Hutt in Return Of The Jedi.

But, I don’t need to explain all this to you guys, right? You know this stuff. So, you already know why this photo is so amusing.

Anyhow, LASTEXITshirts tweeted the obviously ‘shopped image out with the caption earlier this week, showing just how commercial things have gotten on Tatooine. You gotta admit, a bulky slow-moving Sandcrawler and its emissions can really put a damper on all that beach-going fun.
