Hey, at least they are trying to hide the fact that it’s a remake. That’s always nice.
TVLine is reporting that The Munsters will see its new “re-imagining” being known as Mockingbird Lane moving forward.
The family’s home is located at 1313 Mockingbird Lane, of course, so this should be a nice little nod for fans of the franchise, but absolute non news for those like me, totally unfamiliar with the characters and their story.
Personally, without any of that nostalgia for the show, I do kind of look forward to a sitcom like this, particularly knowing that Bryan Fuller is behind it. Hopes aren’t immensely high, but with a great cast, this thing could kick major ass. Fuller is a fantastic showrunner, so there is a great deal of potential here. That said, shows with great potential don’t always hit the mark, so hopefully that won’t be the case here.
