On last night’s Saturday Night Live former castmember Amy Poehler made a guest appearance on Weekend Update with Seth Meyers for a new segment of “Really!?! With Seth and Amy.” In this new edition, the comedians take on the current Birth Control debate raging in Congress.

While the comedians make us laugh while also making perfect sense with everything they said regarding this hot button issue, it’s pretty much Poehler’s declaration “Don’t tell me what to do!” that says it all.

And since I don’t really get to mention politics too much here, I’ll just take the opportunity to say how insane I think it is that the same people who want big government to stay OUT of their lives and away from their candy bars, are the same people that think the government should have the rights to control women’s bodies. I should point out that the First Lady asking [it's a request, not a mandate, not a law] big companies to decrease the size of their diabetes-inducing products is in no way parallel to Congress passing Bills that mandate women get unnecessary transvaginal sonograms [and that means inserting a tube into the vagina, thank you] so that they can SEE their fetus before deciding to get an abortion. BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!
