In the past three months we’ve seen the theatrical trailer for this summer’s eagerly-awaited Bat-sequel The Dark Knight Rises redone in the style of Batman: The Animated Series and mashed up with The Lion King. Now the inventive minds at Paranick Filmz have painstakingly created their own version of the trailer using LEGO toys and stop-motion animation.

I enjoyed this recreation of the Dark Knight Rises trailer immensely, but that could be because I will always love playing with LEGOs. Who doesn’t? The best part is the football field explosion; I laughed out loud watching the little LEGO football players scamper away from what is clearly some enjoyably cheesy digital FX.

Is it just me or does the LEGO Commissioner Gordon look an awful like Theodore Roosevelt?
