It’s been a while since we’ve had a pure Dalek episode of Doctor Who, the previous being Victory Of The Daleks from Series 5 in 2010. As hinted in the recent teaser trailer for Series 7, the Daleks are coming back, and this time (according to rumor) they’re kicking off the season with episode one.

But the last time the Daleks had their own episode, a new archetype was revealed – a new design that wasn’t universally welcomed by fans – some scoffing at them as iDaleks or Power Ranger Daleks. Personally, I didn’t mind the new versions, but that’s hardly the point here.

So the question is, which Daleks will be in this upcoming episode?

The answer seems to be: all of them. Check out this image below tweeted by series producer Steven Moffat:

It is a classic Dalek from the 1960s! Steven Moffat is not only bringing back these old clunkers, but other classic Daleks from the classic series, in addition to the ones from the first four series of New Who, and the New Dalek Paradigm motif.

Extremely exciting news! Rumors are proliferating for the title of the episode, ranging from The Tomb Of The Daleks to Legacy Of The Daleks. Let’s hope that the opening episode of Series 7 has a lot more impact than the previous main Dalek episode!
