Gina Carano was the face of Steven Soderberg’s action thriller Haywire, but now she is going from running on the ground to driving fast cars. Thanks in part to the humble success of Haywire, the film brought many opportunities to Carano’s doorstep, among those opportunities, a chance to appear in Fast & Furious 6.
Whatever the title of the sixth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise may be doesn’t really matter. The film was obviously looking for a woman who can kick some ass and seeing as Michelle Rodriguez is out of the picture, it seems fitting that they ask Carano for her services.
What we don’t know is how Carano will be used in the movie. She could be a protagonist or the antagonist, either way, I’d like to see her throw a couple of fists at Vin Diesel after putting a beat down on Channing Tatum and Michael Fassbender.
Directed by Justin Lin, Fast 6 will also star Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson, and is scheduled for a May 24, 2013 release.
