Marvel has offered their comic books in print, digitally via an online app on PCs, and for mobile through the Marvel Comics App. While there has been synergy between these two mediums, since the start the House of Ideas has desperately needed a way to consolidate their distribution structure.
Now they have launched the Marvel Digital Comics Store. At this online destination fans can purchase and read their Marvel Comics and those purchases will automatically sync with the Marvel Comics App allowing them to take their books on the road on Android and iOS devices.
Starting in June, every Marvel Comic priced at $3.99 will come packaged with a digital code that works with the Marvel Comics App, the new Marvel Digital Comics Store, and Comics by Comixology at no extra charge. This new system allows you to read your comics in any form, paper or digital, and in digital via any means available. They’ve even accommodated the early adopters of the subpar Marvel Comics Unlimited, the first attempt by Marvel to bring online reading of comics to life. Check out their new experience at comicstore.marvel.com and let us know what you think!
