Doom Digest

Every day here at Doom HQ we receive tons of tips from our readers about really cool stuff from the world of geek, as well as promotional materials for new films, comic books, collectibles, and much more. While we do our best to bring you as much of it as possible, we don’t always have enough geek manpower available to cover it all on a daily basis. But we hate the idea of all of this really cool stuff wasting away in our inbox. How could we NOT cover it? Hence why we’ve resurrected our long-defunct column Bits Of Doom, now rebranded and revamped as Doom Digest, a collection of easily digestible bits of news, videos, photos, and other goodies.

May The 4th Be With YouToday’s May 4th, a special day for Star Wars fans, as we greet each other by saying, “May the 4th be with you.” In honor of this day, there’s tons of stuff going on around the Web and also right here at Geeks Of Doom. Therefore, we’re devoting today’s Doom Digest to all things Star Wars!

May The 4th Be With You

May The 4th Be With You! If you want to spread the Star Wars joy on Twitter for this special occasion, be sure to hashtag it #MayThe4thBeWithYou (and also with you).

Star Wars Subway Car

Improv Everywhere strikes again, this time with “Star Wars Subway Car,” a reenactment — in full costume on a moving fully-packed New York City subway car of a scene from the original Star Wars. One word: Awesome. (And why can’t this happen while I’m on the train!?!?!).

File this under awesome – Han Solo in Carbonite iPhone Case. Clever and attractive, looks great on a black iPhone 4/4s; there’s also an R2-D2 iPhone Case that looks great with the white iPhone 4/4s.
