‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Sean Bean To Star In Movie Trilogy Based On Deon Meyer’s ‘Devil’s Peak’ Books
The Movie God   |

Sean Bean

The always popular Mr. Sean Bean has landed a new gig for himself, and it should last him a few years.

It’s being reported that Bean has signed on to star in not one, but a whole trilogy of movies based on author Deon Meyer‘s crime novels, the Devil’s Peak book series.

The books focus on a detective in Cape Town, South Africa’s Serious and Violent Crimes Unit. Bean will play the detective, named Benny Griessel, a recovering alcoholic with family issues who has a knack for getting to the bottom of murder mysteries.

The first book in Meyer’s book series is titled Devil’s Peak, which was published in 2004. It was followed by Thirteen Hours in 2009 and 7 Days in 2011.

At the moment, the plan is to start shooting by around September in South Africa.
