Last month, it was announced that Marvel’s The Avengers would be released on 4-disc Blu-ray and 2-disc Blu-ray combo packs, as well as single-disc DVD, on September 25, 2012. Pre-order for the Blu-ray editions went up today AND Marvel has announced a special limited edition Marvel Cinematic Universe – Phase One: Avengers Assembled 10-disc, 6-movie Blu-ray Collector’s Edition box set and it’s available for pre-order right now!
Marvel Cinematic Universe – Phase One: Avengers Assembled Blu-ray set will contain the movies Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger, and Thor, as well as “The Phase One Archives” bonus disc, all housed in collectible packaging with exclusive memorabilia.

The release date for the 10-disc Blu-ray box set has not been revealed, but a full list of details and packaging will be unveiled on July 15th to all those who pre-order the set. Take note, this is a limited-edition collector’s item, so if you want it, you should definitely pre-order it now before it sells out.
