Rosie Huntington-Whiteley might not be a name you would associate with stopping the Decepticons from conquering the Earth, but she did. It’s been almost a year since we’ve seen the Victoria Secret model make her big screen debut in what was suppose to be Michael Bay’s final Transformer‘s film, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. Apparently she caught the eye of a few filmmakers, particularly the eye of George Miller.
It seems obvious that Miller sees something that I don’t, as he has cast the young actress for a role in the new Mad Max movie – Mad Max: Fury Road.
The up and coming actress joins Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron in the sequel to the trilogy, where she will play “one of the five wives in the film.” This character description is not what it seems. Apparently the “Five Wives” is a group of women being chased by the film’s antagonists. Obviously Max will be the hero who steps in and saves these wives.
Abby Lee Kershaw is signed on to play as one of the other five wives, and Zoë Kravitz, Adelaide Clemens, and Riley Keough are among the names on the shortlist to play the remaining three.
During the press rounds for Snow White and the Huntsman, Theron has said that filming would be underway very soon. With all the various film delays that nearly put Mad Max: Fury Road in the grave, I am sure fans are excited to see the new Mad Max film come to the big screen.
