Every day here at Doom HQ we receive tons of tips from our readers about really cool stuff from the world of geek, as well as promotional materials for new films, comic books, collectibles, and much more. While we do our best to bring you as much of it as possible, we don’t always have enough geek manpower available to cover it all on a daily basis. But we hate the idea of all of this really cool stuff wasting away in our inbox. How could we NOT cover it? Hence why we’ve resurrected our long-defunct column Bits Of Doom, now rebranded and revamped as Doom Digest, a collection of easily digestible bits of news, videos, photos, and other goodies.

In honor of Father’s Day today, we’re dedicating today’s edition of Doom Digest to all things Father’s Day.

The Disney theme parks are now offering Duffy the Disney Bear limited editions for Father’s Day at Disney Traders at Epcot and World of Disney in Downtown Disney Marketplace.

Back in May we reviewed an adorable new Star Wars-themed picture book called Darth Vader and Son. It’s a 64-page full-color illustrated picture book that’s humorous, heart-warming, and beautifully rendered, perfect to read on Father’s Day and all year long.

Troma’s Father’s Day Movie

For those of you who like your Father’s Day grittier, Troma Entertainment will be releasing their grindhouse-style film Father’s Day, where a “boy watches father raped and murdered, boy grows into a vengeful one-eyed man, man teams up with a priest and a male prostitute to take down his father’s killer,” on a 4-disc limited edition Blu-ray/DVD set.
