In just a matter of days, we will be seeing Bruce Wayne suit up as Batman once more to defend the city of Gotham. In his way, of course, is a villain he’s never faced before, and it is perhaps one of the most dangerous villains in Nolan’s series. But before you read our review of The Dark Knight Rises and go into theaters to watch the first two installments of Nolan’s Batman trilogy, watch this new comprehensive trailer below.
I received this trailer earlier today and was unsure whether or not to post it only because I couldn’t tell if it was fan made or a studio release. Despite that, I have to say that I am impressed with the way The Dark Knight Rises Ultimate Trilogy trailer is cut. The trailer looks and feels like a professional edited it.
The trailer weaves clips from the previous two Batman films and some clips from The Dark Knight Rises with precision and beauty. Honestly, despite the reactions that I have been reading on my Twitter feed, this trailer makes me want to see the movie even more. Can the Batman defeat Gotham’s reckoning? We’ll find out this Friday.
Here’s the synopsis:
It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act.
But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.
