As always I’m joined by Katie Holmes’ Former Scientology Handler, David Allen — and That Creepy Guy Who Pumps Your Gas in Every ‘Cabin in the Woods’-esque Horror Flick, producer Tim Grant.
On this week’s transmission we’ll be discussing director Pete Travis‘ DREDD 3D as well as the trailer for 42, the new Jackie Robinson biopic, which tells the story of the legendary baseball player who broke Major League Baseball’s color barrier when he joined the roster of the Brooklyn Dodgers. Also, we’ll be talking about Universal Studios forcing 47 Ronin director Carl Erik Rinsch out of the editing room, and Len Wiseman‘s connection to the upcoming Mummy reboot.
This week we’ve got a Hell of a fun third segment for you. This week’s game is Two Plots and a Lie, where one of us will be quizzed on movie plots and pick out the one that doesn’t exist! We had to enlist some help for this game, so you can expect to hear MAR-10 appear – and I will be forced to call Satan about Len Wiseman’s continued career in filmmaking.
If you missed our previous transmissions, let me explain how this works. In the year 1991, US Flight 1313 experienced a mysterious, magnetic anomaly somewhere over the South Pacific. Engines failed, pilots cursed and prayed to their Gods, and three boys (that’s us!) washed ashore on Skull-Face Island, which of course is an ISLAND in the SHAPE of a SKULL! How cool is that!?
After exploring the dark interior of the island with machetes and bullwhips, we found an old communications array. Here’s the weird thing, it still works. Not only does it work, this thing is like Netflix, Amazon Instant, Video on Demand, and Apple TV combined – it’s got all the latest movies and television shows. We haven’t even bothered sending out a distress signal yet because David’s re-watching Dawson’s Creek right now…
