Spike VGAs 2012: ‘The Phantom Pain’ Trailer; Is It Really ‘Metal Gear Solid 5′?

A strange cinematic trailer was shown at the 2012 Spike Video Game Awards for a game called The Phantom Pain. No one had ever heard of it, but it had a distinct Hideo Kojima feel to it, leading many to believe that the game is actually Metal Gear Solid V.
Back in September we saw a 14-minute gameplay demo for a game described as being a Metal Gear Solid V prologue titled Ground Zeroes, so it was assumed that MGSV was not too far behind.
Check out the trailer for The Phantom Pain below, and share whether you think it’s a new Metal Gear Solid or not.
